THE WAY WE WERE

Once  upon a time in America,  women loved being women and celebrated it in every way. Granted I was not born in all of the womanly eras, but I was lucky enough to be the last generation to have experienced what was once left of the American beauty (70’s to the very early tip of the 90’s).

THE GIRL NEXT DOOR HAS LEFT THE BUILDING  NEIGHBORHOOD

GIRL NEXT DOOR

The girl next door used to be a sweet and wholesome girl whom was an ethereal beauty yet still very approachable by all.  She was not a “bitch” and certainly never took her feminine and sexual appeal too serious – half the time she was unaware of her sexual appeal. Instead, the GND of the past had a natural ability to make everyone feel good in her presence b/c she was ultra-feminine, pretty and kind hearted.

She would never walk around thinking she was “all that” and would never mistreat men who succumbed to her feminine wiles and beauty. Instead, she kept a level head about her sexuality and used her assets to find quality guys who would protect and cherish her and in return she would be faithful, loving and easy going.

The old American girl next door, she was family oriented and had a great balancing act between being reasonably chaste (not too prudish) but sexy without trying too hard.  She wasn’t a “slut” or “hoe” and always held her womanhood in high esteem and expected others to treat her as such.   She wasn’t insecure or needy and she did not have to do much to get male attention and affection. She surely never used sex as a way to a man’s heart.

The Old American girl next door was outgoing, bubbly, friendly, sweet, sexy and kind. She took care of herself physically and treated even the most OMEGA and/or BETA guys with respect even if she had no romantic interest.  This GND was Alpha in many ways most importantly (unlike today) that she was not competitive with other Alpha women for male attention and often times GND’s of the past stuck together and supported each other as women.

THE GIRL NEXT DOORS ARCH NEMISES HAS ARRIVED AND STAKED HER CLAIM!

GIRL NEXT DOOR GONE WILD

You’ve seen them on the college campuses, in the bars and on various “Girls Gone Wild” videos. Yes, the girl next doors arch nemises – THEE GIRL NEXT DOOR HOEBAG, SLUT, HOOCHIE MAMMA has arrived and been welcomed with open arms  zippers. She is still a young attractive woman, but unlike her GND enemy  she uses her “beauty” to entertain all kinds’ men sexually. Today’s “GND” normally sleeps around and gets drunk at bars and clubs. She uses campus life as a way to “experiment” with all kinds of free for all sex and fun. Often times she is a lot more trashy acting and dressing than the previous GND and she uses her sexuality in a masculine way.

“GIRLS GONE WILD” is a perfect poster child for what has happened to the Girl next door. She has become a product of feminism on steroids   that says women should use all of their free rights to have as much sexual fun and be as sexually “free” as possible b/c it’s a woman’s right to do what men have been doing for so long.  So you have so many young women who look the part of the GND but certainly have not lived up to the original title of what a true GND is.

Many young “GND” women today spend most of their prime years sleeping around and using their attractiveness in ways that ultimately burns them out by the time they reach more mature ages past their 20’s. Also, today’s GND  is very competitive with other women for male attention and will do almost ANY.THING to get it – including sleeping around with other women’s b/f’s and husbands as a way to seek positive reinforcement for herself and her sexuality.   Her second home is in bars, clubs and other venues that cater to getting drunk and partying like rock stars.

FEMINISM ON STEROIDS HAS DESTROTYED WHAT WAS/IS LEFT OF THE WHOLESOMENESS OF THE AMERICAN WOMAN

American women in the past were very well known for their wholesomeness which was part of our appeal as women compared to other countries.  In many European countries the women were often seen as more sophisticated while American women were more down to earth beauties. When feminism started going in more extreme directions to really compete with men on all levels, the wholesomeness that was once in most of the American woman collective was slowly chipped away. Now we have a more hardened image as women and also a lot more insecurity in ourselves as women.

There are more insecure women today than ever before. And that is b/c women have lost sight of what true femininity is. When you are secure in your womanhood and understand it for what it is and should be, you have no need to be insecure.

As a result of extreme feminism, women are often left struggling with issues concerning their body and looks. Many young women today suffer with anorexia and bulimia which they use as a replacement for control. In the past, I don’t really know how much these issues affected women, but when you look at many of the starlets and famous young women of other eras, they all looked and appeared to be very physically healthy and womanly and comfortable in their skin.

 LOST IN TRANSLATION:

HIGH MAINTENANCE ~ THE CLASSIC SOPHISTICATED GLAMOUR GIRL FROM THE CITY

LOW MAINTENANCE ~ THE NATURALLY GORGEOUS GIRL NEXT DOOR FROM THE BLOCK

NO MAINTENANCE  ~ THE UNFORTUNATE SWAMP CREATURE FROM THE DEPTHS OF HELL

CAN YOU GUESS WHICH ONE REPRESENTS THE AVERAGE AMERICAN WOMAN TODAY?

Let’s see.  American women believe there are only two kinds of maintenance when it comes to making an effort to look good – LOW and HIGH maintenance.

 BZZZT! Wrong!

It seems most Americans define HIGH MAINTENANCE as: combing your hair, washing your ass, brushing your teeth, throwing on a little make up and a cute outfit and perfume or making ANY kind of effort at all in your appearance as a woman.

Now, we all know being called “high maintenance” has a negative connotation. It’s basically insinuating that you are “trying too hard” and “doing way too much” to look presentable or to look good instead of keeping things simple.

Many women today confuse LOW maintenance with NO maintenance. So they take great pride in saying how “low maintenance” they are.  Remember, the idea in an extreme feminist society is to steer as far away from the female norm as possible.

There is nothing wrong with being Low maintenance. But when you look around these days most American women aren’t even LOW MAINTENANCE, they are NOOOOO MAINTENANCE. Many just simply don’t even try.  In their minds Low maintenance translates to little to no effort to look groomed. This is NOT TRUE!

To most American men and women in order to avoid being called “high maintenance” these days and get a HIGH FIVE from almost everyone you must do the following:

–          Look a hot fresh out of the oven mess

–          Look like you just rolled out of the bed jumped up out of the swap

Don’t get me wrong. I am not saying that a woman needs to spend 5 hours getting ready each day. I don’t envy Kim Kardashian one bit. While she *ALWAYS*  looks extremely well put together,  I often wonder and ask myself – HOW LONG DOES THAT TAKE EVERYDAY?

The point is, a lot of women simply don’t  make an effort AT ALL. It doesn’t take much to  throw on a little something to enhance your looks. You don’t need a full face of make-up, full on fake eye lashes, hair weave,  a whole  bottle of hairspray, and 10 inch heels  each day to look good. A woman can keep it quite simple and still look amazing.  But you have to *TRY* ladies!

In fact, most women have very little time these days to sit in front of a mirror for hours putting on her face, hair and eyelashes. And that is why make-up companies have simplified the process with things that a woman can do quickly to enhance her looks in a simple manner – LIP GLOSS, MASCARA, EYE LINER. Take your pick! You don’t need all 3 at once, just one or maybe two can really enhance your looks as a woman in a very simple and subtle way. Of course not all women wear or need make up, but the idea is to at least try to look your best- whatever that means. I don’t think choosing  lip gloss or  mascara or blush or eye shadow is asking too much or being fake.

So let’s define each category for a much clearer understanding.

HIGH MAINTENANCE = THE SOPHISTICATED GLAMOUR GIRL (think Kim Kardashian)

Doing more than normal to look good. Usually spending quite a bit of time making sure your appearance is perfected to a T. You are one who would never be caught dead looking sloppy or unkept and always seeks to go above and beyond each day to make yourself stand out and look good. You don’t put one toe out of your door unless you have completely done all you can to look good and stand out.

LOW MAINTENANCE = THE  GORGEOUS GIRL NEXT DOOR (think Jessica Alba)

You may not spend lots of time each day trying to perfect your look – and a true GND doesn’t really need to do much to stand out and be beautiful – she has a natural ethereal beauty that speaks for itself. However, she still  believes  in looking and being attractive and will usually add simple things like jewelry, or small amounts of make-up, cute outfits  etc., to look appealing.  You are more of a laid back natural beauty and you like to keep things simple and easy going – YET attractive. You may not put on a full face of make-up or perfect every strand of hair day to day and will usually reserve going all out for special occasions. Nevertheless,   you still make an effort to look nice.

NO MAINTENANCE = THE SCAREY SWAMP CREATURE (I’ll be nice and won’t say names)

(That’s what you look like on a GOOD day) 😮 You basically say “EFF IT” and just roll out of bed and go off to do what it is you do on a day-to-day basis  (making people throw up in their mouths a little bit). On a good day you may brush your teeth and bathe. For the most part its kind of random on whether or not you even make an effort. You believe in comfort to a fault. As a result, you often are unkept looking, sloppy looking, and dowdy looking. You’ve basically given up as a woman and don’t really care if others have a positive or negative  visual experience when they look your way. Hey it’s your prerogative! But it’s a reflection on how you see yourself and how you feel about yourself as a woman when you don’t make an effort to make yourself look your best.

I get it. We all have down days. We all get sick and have 0 desire to look good. We all have days when we just aren’t feeling it. But if this is commonly your go to attitude in your appearance ladies, then you are throwing away all the wonderful things that come with being a woman and being able to enjoy the benefits of such by living up to being one of the most beautiful creatures walking planet earth! You owe it to yourself to look your best! SO JUST DO IT! 😉

Going back to the original GND. This is what she was able to accomplish and still be beautiful and receive positive reinforcement from men and others. She didn’t do much just enough to make herself feminine and appealing. That’s all it takes ladies!

Its disheartening that more than ever  today  in America  you see so many women who look dowdy or trashy, or sloppy, or unkept or all of the above. Its like we have given up on trying to look our best. The women who do put effort into their appearance like the  ladies of the past are often frowned upon, talked about behind their backs and seen as “high maintenance”.

 WHEN CURVES WERE *REALLY* CURVES

WHEN SKELETONS STAYED IN THE CLOSET & NOT ON RUNWAYS AND MOVIE SCREENS

Remember the good ole days when women actually looked like women? When curves were really curves and not fat rolls?  When there were not simply two extremes – OBESE or SKELETAL? I remember and boy have those days long said goodbye. So what we have now is a fashion industry that promotes a look for women that resembles flat boney bodied boys modeling their clothes. This has also seeped into the entertainment industry where actresses who want to be on the top of the designers lists walk around looking like lollipop heads to sport fashion designs.

As a result, you see so many fashion supermodels and actresses today that look like walking skeletons. In the early years of the American actress and Supermodel in the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and very early 90’s the Supermodels were very beautiful womanly looking women.  Women like Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schaffer, Naomi Campbell, Tyra Banks just to name a few – represented in the 80’s. Even women like Anna Nicole Smith who when she first hit the scene was far from the  typical stick figure supermodel, but still managed to snag a promotional modeling gig with the then popular GUESS brand of clothing that always only had atypical tall thin supermodels as their advertisement.

These supermodels were still in wonderful svelte shape without looking like skeletons. Somehow things took a turn for the worse in the last 2 decades and pretty much the supermodels for the most part today look like they should be modeling the neighborhood sidewalk on Halloween as skeletons and zombies in Haute Cotour!

American Actresses also have taken a turn for the worse over the last 2 decades. The Black ones (the few that there are) look like bowling balls and the White ones look like sticks of gum! View the past Black and White beauties of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s and you see a very different picture. All of the women of this era maintained a feminine curvy physique without being fat or skin and bones.

WHEN THE AMERICAN ACTRESS MET AND FELL INLOVE WITH….THEIR LEADING MAN THE PLASTIC SURGEON & TUPPERWARE

When you compare todays White & Black American woman IN GENERAL to those of the past, there is no parallel in femininity. White & Black  American women and actresses of the past were quite gracious, beautiful & naturally alluring (without all of the obvious plastic surgery).  I often ask myself when seeing so many of the White female celebs today, what is it that they must do to maintain or try to look beautiful that their white female predecessors didn’t have to do to be such natural feminine looking beauties? Why all of a sudden is there an excessive need for dieting extremes Botox and plastic surgery? Especially when White women of the past who were more beautiful didn’t rely on those things?

Is it something in the water? I mean what is it?

When you look at the most Beautiful White & Black women of the past they look NOTHING like these celeb creatures we are bombarded with today – NOTHING! I have yet to see a Sophia Lauren, Raquel Welch, Marilyn Monroe, Diahann Carroll, Whitney Houston replacement! (pre crack head ghetto “I luu you Bobby” Whitney Houston)

Rarely,  if ever did you see a famous beautiful American White woman that looked like Plastic Tupperware with lips bigger than her head or so skinny she looked sickly. White women of the past also had an alluring charm and beauty about them that has yet to be regained by this new generation of American White women.

The same has affected Black American women. American Black women of the 60’ through early 90’s seemed to have a certain feminine charm and quality that has been lost in the last couple of decades. Our singers, actresses and models all had a feminine allure and physique and hardly any were celebrated for obesity or acting manly and unfeminine.

INDOCTRINATION IS A MOFO – PAGING THE CLEAN UP CREW!

White women have been indoctrinated through feminism and Black women have been indoctrinated for racial “loyalty” purposes to lose sight of and dispose of their natural feminine qualities. I don’t know what White women plan on doing to regain what was once lost in terms of their femininity. But if they don’t make some changes quick, they will start losing their men to other races of women who fit a more feminine ideal.

In regards to Black women?  I do know that there is a growing number of Black American women who pride themselves on being apart of Black Women Empowerment, which seeks to break the indoctrination placed upon us as women that  seek to keep Black women in a masculinized state for the sole purposes of feeding the needs, supporting and carrying the Black community, Black men, and Black people in general.

Many of these BWE Black women are encouraging Black women reclaim and redefine ourselves as TRUE woman and not these caricatures of men in drag we have been indoctrinated to accept as the NORM for Black female behavior and “womanhood”.

I hope to make a huge contribution to this movement b/c its near and dear to my heart. I want the younger generation of American Black women to start redefining themselves for the better. I want young Black American women to realize the world is their oyster if they choose to seek it and do what it takes to be rewarded with the best men and best lives possible.  The ONLY way they will accomplish this, is by taking back their femininity and being pr0ud beautiful women once again. In a world where men dominate, a feminine woman is often still able to WIN. 😉

Unfortunately, the link has been disconnected between my generation and the generation before me. We lost something somewhere and its time to get it back. And that is what a growing number of Black American women are doing. My goal before leaving this earth is to do my part to make this happen.

HOMAGE TO MY FAV BEAUTIES OF THE PAST –

My ideal woman would be the character Donna Reed played in the movie It’s a Wonderful Life. Unfortunately, I think that is an unattainable goal these days unless maybe I move to the west coast (I am in east coast between NY and DC)

Neecy maybe you can direct my needed reality show seeking June Cleaver HAHA

Gotta agree on the Donna Reed thing. My first choice for wife, too!

#2 is Mona Lisa Vito from My Cousin Vinny. How can you not love a woman who talks like Bugs Bunny?! Brooklyn accents totally do me in.

I think your show would be called Seeking Mary Bailey. Neecy’s right. June Cleaver isn’t going to go down on you, bend over for you, or wear crotchless panties beneath a lemon-colored sun dress.

Donna Reed, on the other hand…

      “Welcome home, Mr. Bailey!”

    Neecy!

This is an awesome post with many excellent observations on how extreme feminism has lead women away from their femininity and taking pride in ourselves. We have basically given away our power as women. Yes, we are definitely more competitive and insecure than ever. My belief was that feminism was to suppose to make women more empowered in terms of us having more self-respect, self-pride and self-love. We were going to define ourselves as women and work together to make our lives better and free of the need of depending on men to define us first. That should have meant that we would be more secure with ourselves therefore, not desperately seeking the attention of men, would not need validation from men for our worth, would be more supportive of other women and less competitive with them. We could get an education in any field we choose and forge whatever path we want for our lives.

However, what has actually happened is that we have become more unhappy, more insecure and more desperate than ever with less respect for ourselves, less pride and more self-loathing. Moreover, our hatred of other women and competitiveness with other women has been so out of control that we now have reality shows capitalizing on it every night of the week highlighting women cursing each other out and cat fighting.

American women have become very sad and very tragic, in my opinion.

      Exactly Liza!

Feminism *should* have made women more comfortable as women and more motivated to achieve the things we were unable to achieve during periods of time when we had to only depend on men for everything. But instead, it has turned into a Circus freak show stripping women of their ability and need to still maintain the foundations of womanhood.

And it’s true. The more feminism has gone extreme, the more insecure, catty, distrusting and envious women have become of each other.

Back in the day women stuck together and looked out for each other. They did not have the insecurities plagued by so many woman we see today. basically these days a woman judges her beauty and worth on the amounts of men she can sleep with and how trashy and over the top “sexy” she can look to attract male attention.

The fact is when you look or think about what drives insecurity in a person, it’s their lack of understanding and APPRECIATING who and what they are. So they do destructive things b/c they do not have positive foundation reinforcing them – except outside factors. That is what extreme feminism has done to women. Many women do not understand anymore how to really be a woman so they adopt all these fake and feminist ideals of womanhood that really work against our own best interest. The SMP place today is a prime example of how women have worked against our own best interests with men being faithful etc.

Women from back in the day were definitely more feminine and alluring. And what style they had, too. I love Hepburn she was a definitely style icon along with Jackie O. Most of the Hollywood actresses today have very little style if none at all. I can’t think of one that is consistant when it comes to their style.

The style trend I hate the most in Hollywood today is the one where they have on some elegant designer dress or gown and a bright colored shoe that does not match or go with their outfit–it just looks ridiculous to me. But it is all the rage. Your shoes should match your outfit most of the time. I love a classic look–the right shoe and shoe color for your outfit to pull it all together.

The starlets that are still alive (and the dead ones, too) from the old school must look at them and think that they’re clowns.

I agree the female starlets of today are lacking that certain glamour appeal that their predecessors seemed to have.

I have to admit I’m not into the classic sophisticated look myself. Maybe its a West Coast thing where we tend to be mroe laid back. But I do like getting super glamoured up on sepcial occassions. I like a more sexy girl next door look that is a little less “clean” looking in the sense that everything matches and goes together. But at Red carpet events the women should defintiley keep a more consustent “clean” look with nothing that stands out in a bad way (like the off color shoes) etc.

A woman should definitley develop her style and stick with it. Too many of the celebs today are trying too hard to develop a style that isn’t their own and they end up looking ridiculous.

I have lived in NYC all of my life. I have also lived and worked in Manhattan for many years and having style is almost mandatory. Manhattan has the most stylish women in the country—from the youngest to the oldest of women. I just don’t know why my female coworkers see me as an anomaly and I don’t know what is wrong with them. I love being a feminine woman who loves looking stylish and I experimenting with different styles and looks and different accessories. They see clothing as only functional and not fun. I see them as both. It is the one of the best things about being a female to me.

Liza my family is also from the EAST COAST and I have to completely agree that New York and new Jersey women are quite stylish and well put together. I felt so out of place when I did live in NY b/c I just couldm’t seem to pull it together like my g/f’s. They always looked sharp. I was always the Bohemian lookign California girl. LOL I find even East Coast males dress a lot more stylish and classic as well.

On the West Coast I have to say we are definitley not as stylish or classic in our dress. Boots and cut off shorts with a cute tank or fitted tee is sexy and stylish to us! LOL

I’ve never seen cut offs worn anywhere really except in Cali. We still do wear them. Now the cowboy boots have been replaced with UGGS and/or the motorcycle riding boots. I guess its always going to be a California girl staple that never goes out of fashion – shorts & boots. LOL

The girl next door does not really exist anymore because if you are not letting it all hang out you may be over looked for the “Girls Gone Wild” crew.

On Pamela Anderson, I think she is a beautiful woman but her look on “Baywatch” and her look now has always been really trashy to me and not a look I would attempt to emulate. The implants were always a little too over the top to me and the over plumped up lips she looked like a beauty-freak. She could not stand next to Marilyn whom they sometimes compared her to. Marilyn did have her nose done when she first came to Hollywood but I believe that was all. She looked natural and sexy without being over the top in which is very sexy–subtly is the key, in my opinion.

I have yet to see a woman since Marilyn Monroe gain her appeal – YET.

Pam was only really beautiful when she first hit the scene and on the first maybe 2-3 years of Baywatch before she started bleaching her hair, getting lip injections, tanning and looking like a porn star. After a certain point she looked burned out , trashy and fake. But before that she had such a charming natural beauty that was more on the plain Jane side, but very much a step up in the sense that she was still sexy and cute and not boring plain jane looking.

I guess b/c that is the look I have always gone for even when younger that, that is what i loved about her when she first hit the scene. She really ruined her look sfate rgetting caught up in the Hollywood “fake Barbie” scene. Its too bad.

I have to say Kim K. is one of the most beautiful women in the world easily and she definitely has the most pulled together look in Hollywood. She is definitely consistent (so I take back what I said earlier). I think she does not get the accolades she deserves for this because she has the body of a feminine woman–she looks the way god or nature intended a woman to look. She is not some stick figure with a boyish body. Many of the starlets in Hollywood are starving themselves and going on all these crazy diets to fulfill some ideal created by gay men. I saw Christina Hendricks and Sophia Vergera in an interview saying that the top designers in Hollywood will not design dresses or gowns for them because they are not as thin as the other actresses are. Therefore, as you astutely mentioned, Neecy, this is why the other actresses are starving themselves so that they will get the best dresses from designers to wear on the red carpet.

A woman’s body was intended to have feminine curves (a certain hip to waist ratio) and when a woman is too thin or too fat she just will not appear very feminine. There are women who are naturally very thin and no matter how much they eat, they will remain very thin. However, the rest of us do not have it that way, so we have to watch it. Women also have different body types: hourglass, ruler, apple, and pear shaped. No matter your body type you should always retain a healthy weight according to your height and bone mass in order to look healthy, feminine and fit.

Liza I agree. Although I am certainly not a fan of the Kardashians or Kim K, I must say as you pointed out that she has a very consistent clean and stylish/glamorous well put together look. The girl can dress her ass off! her hair and make-up are always on point as well. I have never seen Kim looking sloppy or dowdy like she just rolled out of bed. She keeps it very sexy even when she is casually dressed. But I must point out that she is ethnically from a group of women that tend to really put forth much effort in their beauty (Middle Eastern). Notice women of certain cultures not affected by feminism tend to be more feminine and stylish.

And yes her body is like a real woman’s body and ironically she doesn’t get too much flack for it b/c she is more of an ethnic sort of White. However, WASPY White women catch holy hell if they have any kind of curves. I feel kinda bad for them b/c even Black women with curves are more embraced as sexy than waspy White girls who have curves. It’s like they almost expect non-ethnic White women to be born and look like sticks of gum.

And yes, the reason so many actresses today start starving themselves is b/c they want all the free clothes and perks from the top designers so that they can be noticed on red carpet events and in magazines. Designers and Hollywood are definitely in bed together. And if you are not on the top designer’s lists, you will rarely get noticed.

It’s very sick and twisted at how the feminine woman’s body has been made to seem as it’s something to be ashamed of or even bad. I think it’s disgusting to take a beautiful woman’s body and curves and turn it into a skeleton.

As you said some women will be stick thin no matter what they do. It’s just their body make. I have a couple of Black g/fs who are so small they wear size 0’s. One complains that she has a hard time gaining any weight and would like to put on more muscle and weight to have some curves. But nevertheless even at a size 0 she looks healthy b/c that is HER NATURAL BODY TYPE.

When women who are supposed to be a certain size and weight starve themselves down to an unnatural body type, they look crazy and ridiculous. That is why I said I will never be a size 2 and I’m good with that. Women need to understand what looks good on one woman does not necessarily look good on another woman. You cannot do a One Size Fits All for a woman’s body to be appealing and attractive. It’s going to be different for everyone. Hollywood seeks to create this ONE LOOK for women and its just not reality.

Kim. K is a European white woman. Armenia is a country in the Caucasus region in Southeast Europe. This needs to be cleared up–many people make the assumption that Armenia is located in Asia–it’s not.

I agree that Kim K is of White ancestry however, I live among lots of Armenians and have a couple of Armenian co-workers and many of them do not call thmselves “WHITE”. I would consider them more ethnic versions of White, like Greeks and Italians.

Either way, she isn’t WASPY and most non WASPy White women (like Italians) etc., are usually very womanly and curvy looking. And often celebrated for such. Also, culturally they tens to take more pride in looking feminine and womanly than most WASPY cultures affected by Feminsim.

Armenia produced Cher as well. Kim looks much like Cher did at that age. But Cher is far classier than Kim ever will be; apples and oranges really. Curvy is healthy IMO, a bit o’ meat in all the right places never hurt anyone. I find KK and that Mad Men redhead sultry as hell, just smokin. Waifs just don’t do it for me.

I didn’t look through all the pics, is Sophia Loren there? If not, she should be. Now, she is a beauty! Even at 70+ she still has grace, class and charm.

                MW,

it was my understanding that Cher is part native American (Cherokee) and White? This is the first I have heard of Armenian. hmmm.

Yes Kim K is quite womanly in her figure but i just wish she wouldn’t feel the need to lie about her size. She claims to be a size 2 which is such baloney. There is no way she is a size 2! LOL

She looks amazing and should be proud of her figure. She has no fat rolls whatsoever. Although her butt looks a bit strange when you see it from the back. looks fake and too big to me personally. Almost like she had butt injections.

Nevertheless, she looks great. Flat tummy and curves in the right places. I don’t really see much negative remarks about her figure and she wears a lot of the top designers.

I dunno. She just doesn’t look petite to me at all despite her height. She is very heavy on the bottom area and she also has wide hips. I have a hard time believing she is a size 2. Esepcially when I look at the women I know personally who are a size 2.

Take a look at some bikini pics of her on google. I just don’t see it. I see more like size 7 or 8.

Yes, Lola Falana. The black Marilyn of the 70’s.

Speaking of Marilyn, when I was doing a search for her pix for this post–the first thing that came up with Jeezabel or whatever and on their site they claimed that Marilyn was a size 16. LOL!. Now, looking at pictures and movies of Marilyn, I would say she was a size 8 which was considered small/normal at the time. She may have put on some weight for a moment in her later years and was up to maybe a size 11 or 12 but no more than that.

A size 16 woman is fat/overweight/large. I believe that feminist are using Marilyn as their poster child for fat-acceptance to further their agenda to normalize fatness, especially since she was not a stick and was desired by many men when she was alive and even now in death. They need to find someone else.

Like you said, women these days don’t know what a normal sized woman looks like because you are either a stick or a fatty.

Marliyn looked to be right in the middle to me. She never looked overly tiny or big. So I wouldn’t say Marilyn was a “spinner”. She definitley had curves and a lil meat on her bones. Of course TV and sometimes pics add extra weight so she may have possibly been smaller than she looked.

But the fact that feminists are tryin to use her as a poster child for BBW is sickening. They really need to stop! I’m sure as I speak Marilyn is trying to figure out how to come up out of her grave to knock these feminists out for calling her “FAT”. LOL

Yes it seems they are trying really damn hard to turn obvious shapley and svelte women into fat women. Anything past a size 14 is X LARGE and has crossed the line from curvy to big.

I agree with you that Marilyn looked more to be a nice size 7/8 and possibly an 11/12 as she got a little order. But when you look at her she looks to be right in the middle – not too skinny and certainly not fat.

Work is not the problem. Many women want a guy who is tall, often very tall.

I was on a forum where the question was asked “what is the first thing you look for in a man” and a really amazing number of the women came back with tall.

After thinking back on my younger years, I can say that not all are women obsessed with this, however. So it’s actually not as bad as I was whining about.

I’m not a height Nazi but I understand why women like and/or typically prefer tall men. MOST women if given the choice would prefer or love a taller guy. But some women simply are more realistic and realize that not every man can be tall and towering so they often will date and marry guys who are not as tall as they would like. Also women liking tall men is the equivalent to men who like the perfect WHR on women. Its just natural.

Liza what do you think about that whole Kim K marraige/divorce fiasco?

i think that is a perfect example of someone desperatley trying to get married for the sake of saying she is married and realized that she chose the wrong person.

The thing that irks me most about Kim and that Klan is they are beyond attention whores. Everything they do has to be in the spotlight. I can see how that can drive a more modest laid back guy insane. He never looked to be really into her and they seemed like an odd match. he is a mroe boy next door type and she is over the top glamourous.

i honestly think Kim is all surface and no substance and guys end up getting tired of her vapidness. Goes to show you, you can be as beautiful as you can be but if you don’t have much else going on, most men are going to get bored to beans with you.

Although the expression “plump rump” rhymes nicely, it doesn’t catch the full grandeur of the healthy, flaring hips, and protrusive butt that occurs (by far) most often on black women. Particularly when accompanied by a particularly low WHR and an otherwise lean body.

And you’re right Kim K is such damaged goods at this point. i cannot imagine some sane man dealing with that family and their media attention whoring unless he was the same way. LOL

I think she felt pressured to get married so bad she just looked for any opportunity to have this big lavish wedding. I also heard she received millions of dollars for this wedding and people are pissed b/c they believe it was just another media attention whoring scam she used to stay in the spotlight and get more money. i dunno. All i know is dude never looked that much into her at all.

Underneath her beauty she just seems boring and empty headed to me.

I have yet to see a woman since Marilyn Monroe gain her appeal – YET.

Two woman who come to mind who are considered seriously good-looking, and are not scrawny by any measure:

    J Lo and Halle Berry

Some credit J Lo with making big bootie “acceptable” for white people. I don’t know if I buy that.

Me I’m white (well, Jewish) and I’ve *always* liked a well-shaped butt.

I have a WASP-y friend who is so boob-crazed it’s hilarious. We ride the train together:

Me: Did you see the that chick with the nice rack, flirting with our conductor on the platform again?

    Him: The tall one?

Me: She’s NOT tall. She has 6″ heels on, which you never noticed since your eyes never went below her rib-cage!

Meh. j Lo and Halle are attractive women but Halle is plain looking to me and J Lo is just regular attractive nothing special. I’ve seen better looking Latinas and mixed Black women out in the real world. neither of them have the sensuality of Marilyn at all.

And yeah that whole hoopla over J Lo’s booty was laughable. For the first time White people felt comfortable in giving credit to big butts only b/c it was on a Non Black woman. I honestly didn’t see the big deal b/c her butt wasn’t really anything IMO to go gaga over. I guess I felt it was just overrated *shrug*.

The same thing with big lips. Soon as a White woman steps ont he sene with big lips its like this sudden amazing thing that everyone admire. Yet Black women have been walking aorund with nicely shaped round asses and lips for centuries and no one wants to openly give credit where its due unless a Non Black woman has those same features. WHATEVS! 🙄

ITA Bob – it is subjective. I’m not saying they aren’t pretty/attractive women. Halle looks freakin amazing in her mid 40’s and still has the shape she had when she was in her 20’s. Great bone structure etc. I just guess I’ve had my fill of the typical “tokens”. I see so many unnoticed beautiful women of color that Halle and J LO just simply are an afterthought to me. I find that White people kind of pick and choose their “comfortable” minority women and run them in the hole. LOL There are soooo many other underrated beautiful women of color that would make J Lo and Halle look like Medusas twin sisters. LOL

Neecy, I agree. It’s time for beautiful BW and LW replacements. I think they are both beautiful women and look amazing for their ages. It seems with WP they can only focus on one of each at a time. I guess Halle and Jennifer will have to die first.

Yes, the “BC” does encourage and have indoctrinated BW to behave like she males because you cannot be fragile and feminine when you are fighting and defending men, after all and furthermore, what other men who find she males appealing. It is sad how so many BW have drunk the kool-aid and have allowed themselves to buy into this behavior. I remember being younger and mingling with black men and them always telling me that I was not an authentic BW because I was not loud, obnoxious and combative. By telling me I wasn’t a real “BW” because I wasn’t acting like a stereotype was suppose make me want to prove to them otherwise by morphing myself into a what they felt comfortable with. That just was not who I was, so I stopped mingling with them. It just kills me when I see BW behaving in a muscular manner and the look pride on their faces as if it is a badge of honor or something to take pride in. Sick.

I was watching the news yesterday evening and there was an attractive BW being featured—it was suppose to be some positive piece on this young woman and would you guess what she was being praise for…wait for it. She beat up a man that groped on the subway. The reporters were just soooo amused as she recounted her story about how she beat the shit out of some guy. She skinning, grinning, and showing off her combat skills. I was so disgusted. This chick was so caught up in all of the attention she was receiving could not see that they were mocking her in a sense. When are some of us going to catch a clue? If a guy tried that with me, I would just given him the elbow and kept it moving. I would not go all Rambo on him–I am not a man.

Another way BW have been indoctrinated– is to believe that we look our best when we are FAT. It (being fat) has become such apart of our identity as BW, so much, that America has a hard time accepting us being anything else but that.

Acting masculine like hardcore she males, being combative and “fight -ready” all the time, always feeling the need to “tell somebody off” etc.

Over 20 years. I’m over it. Time to start recognizing YOUNG new fresh faced beautiful Black women. They keep recyclign the same old Black beauty for decades. Like you said I guess Halle will be 80 and they’ll still be saying how she is the most beautiul woman.. LOL

“WP”? As in “White People”? Seems like a bit of a generalization here. WP making decisions in Hollywood? Maybe some truth there.

I picked Halle and Jennifer as 2 massively successful Hollywood stars who were feminine, and not in the heroin-chic-waif class.

I agree. Rihanna is a total stunner. Well, any woman that would have a man to beat her half to death and would still want to be with him and claim to love him is definitely a candidate for damage goods.

I wanted to say that I’m glad you included Jayne Kennedy and remember seeing her for the first time as a kid in the movie “Body and Soul” and I thought she was the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. I haven’t seen her for a while but last week I was watching the “Wendy Williams Show”and Wendy and her guess, Taraji P. Henson were talking about Jayne and how beautiful they always thought she was and how great she still looks at 60.

Yes Vanity was a beauty for sure and everyone I knew wanted to b and look like her b/c she was so gorgeous. They don’t make em like her anymore either. Also Jane Kennedy was the Halle of that time and era. You know what’s funny abohut Jane and Halle? They both were from Ohio and Both were MISS OHIO pageant winners! Although Jane wasn’t mixed they actually look very similar.

Those women were the women my fathers generation etc. were crushing on – Vanity, Jane Kennedy etc.

Its sad though what happened to Jane. She ended up getting some rare disease and she got really big – i think it was called endometriosis or something. And it causes a huge weight gain which is difficult to go away. After that her career was pretty much one – especially marrying that loser Leon Issac Keneddy that filmed them having sex and him sticking his fist inside her. UGH. I remember that whole fiasco. Her career pretty much ended after that. He did that on purpose b/c he was a jealous insecure asswipe. She did end up re marrying to a great guy and having children and settling down.

Yes, she was miss Ohio like Halle. It is sad when men take beautiful women and attempt to destroy their beauty out of their own insecurities–men like that should leave beautiful women alone.

As for Vanity (Denise Matthews), the last time I saw her she looked about a size 20. I think she also fell victim to a insecure man who appeared to like encouraging her her weight gain. She became very depressed and strung out on drugs after her relationship with Prince and Nikki 6 (of Motley Crue) fell apart. She then married a bm former football player who claimed hethouhgt she looked beautiful to him as a fat woman. Really tragic.

Liza so true. Some men go after very beautiful women simply to destory them b/c of their own insecurities. That is why i say people of the same or close to the same levels of attractiveness should stick with like b/c you will have less of these problems.

I’m sorry you didn’t include Freda Payne (Band of Gold) in your gallery.

There are women in their 60s, 70s, and even 80s who would not think to leave the house without their hair done, some make-up, and wearing something nice. They also seem not to hate men, and have a particular admiration for their husbands (or, their husbands’ memory if passed). These are the women who, in their younger years, inspired such songs as “You Are My Special Angel” and “Ain’t No Woman Like the One I Got”.

What do Today’s “Scary Swamp Creature” women inspire in song? Take a listen to almost any popular Rap.

Neecy, I bought you a box of See’s Candy (Custom Deluxe Assortment) as a token of my affection….

…then I remembered you mentioning that you are watching what you eat, so instead of sending them your way, I ate ’em all myself. I still don’t seem to put on any weight (after pizza, burgers, etc.). Being a hard-working cowboy kind of takes it off, I guess. Can’t seem to break above 165.

There was also a little teddy bear with a heart on its tummy. I forgot what I did with that.

Oh, well; thinking of you, dear!

Aww Mark you really did get me SEES CANDIES?? You do not know how much I loooove Sees! It’s the only chocolate I can really enjoy and indulge in. LOL @ you eating it. Hahah how cute! Did Halloween get to you so much you just couldn’t resist?

It’s okay that you ate it, b/c the fact you thought of me when getting it is friggin amazing!!!! 🙂 I thought they only had Sees Candies in California?

It must be nice to be able to eat just anything and not have to worry 🙂 But I think men in general if they remain active don’t have as much problems with weight gain as females. You all don’t have as many weight gain “zones” as women do for the most part.

And I also have to thank you for mentioning Freda Payne. I don’t know a great amount of Black actresses and singers b/c maybe they were before my time or simply not as popular. But she certainly belongs in the gallery so i added her 😉

I agree that the music today (especially rap) doesn’t inspire the beauty in women b/c it seems women buy and support such music b/c we have become so hardened about our femininity. So in the past when women enjoyed being ladies and treated as such, music reflected that. Now women enjoy being more masculine and seemed to be turned off by anything that could be seen as treating us like respectable women. This society is so assbackwards it’s not even funny.

Regarding “high maintenance”, it evokes far more than just attention to appearance and glamour, mush of it negative, hence the desire to avoid the label.

    See here:

    http://datingandmatinginamerica.com/2009/02/20/maintenanc/

Interestingly enough, that source attributes the expression “high maintenance” to one of our favorite movies, “When Harry Met Sally”. Wikipedia confirms.

Bob I can definitely agree with some or many of the points made on a high maintenance woman in that article. What i listed was just a small portion and/or basic principles of High Maintenance when it comes to how some women put themselves together.

But the fact is, yes, High maintenance women have a lot of those characteristics that can be seen as negative. But in the sense of how they see themselves, they tend to take great pride in their appearance (although extreme as it can be) and are very consistent in making sure they always look good. But often times it does require a lot of time and effort which most women don’t have OR NEED to look decent. I find a lot of times if a woman is very high maintenance when it comes to putting herself together, its moreso b/c she ENJOYS it vs. feels the real need to do it.

I have a couple of high maintenance friends and I really don’t know how they do it. One literally takes over 2 hours to get ready each day. She *ALWAYS* has on a full face of make-up, washes her hair, blow dries it and flat irons it *EVERY MORNING*. And this is CONSISTENT. But just b/c a woman may be high maintenance in her appearance doesn’t mean she will be high maintenance in other areas of her life. My High Maintenance friend is not so high maintenance in other areas of her life at all – just her appearance and when it comes to shopping LOL.

Plug “Chicks Dig Jerks” into the search function and you’re off:

“Chicks Dig Jerks: Norwegian Terrorist Gets Love Letters In Jail” (Instigated by a writing by our own Emma the Emo, BTW, on how these silly women could better spend their time and sympathy, if that was what was involved)

How can anyone use some damaged and deranged women trying to hook up with jailbirds, serial killers, and mass murderers as some sort of proof that women like jerks? Yeah some women do like jerks and assholes and crazies and murderes – INSANE, DERANGED and/or DAMAGED WOMEN. This is never specified. they may be of the female species but its like nothing else is taken into account that a lot of *DAMAGED* women like jerks and assholes.

There is no doubt that women who go for them like that have deep seeded issues and cannot be seem as the norm. The thing with the manosphere and the men who are a part of it, in my opinion, are too anti-women and pro-men to be taken seriously. That also goes for extreme feminists who are too anti-men and pro-women to be taken seriously as well.

The whole thing with these two groups is to make each gender look as bad as possible by constantly highlighting the negative behaviors of some and then afixing that behavior to everyone of that gender. It is completely irrational and too ridiculous to be given any real consideration, in my opnion. You lose any credibility you might have when you make generalizations–everyone of a particular gender does not behavior in the same manner or have the same tendencies–it is just not possible.

Furthermore, the reason it may seem like women want assholes, jerks, cads, players and so on is that women love men that excuse confidence, asserts himself, and makes them feel feminine. Their confidence might get them attention and consideration in the beginning (this has been my experience with these men, I really admired their confidence in showing their interest in the beginning, but once I got to know them I wasn’t interested) from most women but in the long run most women (especially emotionally healthy women) want someone who respects her and treats her well, while making her feel like a woman at all times.

Men who constantly complain about women always choosing jerks over them have to understand that women want men who assert themselves and who are not afraid to make their interest known them and also knows how to be decisive. Most women do not want to feel like they have to do the pursuing and the asserting–it makes us feel masculine and not particularly feminine, so we will avoid any man that makes us feel like that which can sometimes make us very vulnerable to the cads of the world (and I am not saying that there are women who don’t prefer these men). I do not think we all should have to get a bad rap for wanting men who are confident and dominant. We are women and we want to feel like women when we are with a man–it is just that simple, in my opinion.

Liza thank you for addressing this again. Its not jerks and assholes women like, its CONFIDENT AND DOMINANT MEN women like. That is being misconstrued as being an asshole or jerk at game sites IMO. Game sites are correct that women for the most part don’t want guys who do not take initiative and/or who are not assertive. B/c assertiveness and taking the initiative is a male/masculine trait and that is what women expect and naturally desire of men.

Some men have taken this as a free pass to be an asshole and expect a woman to submit to them. UH BZZT WRONG! Only damaged women will accept being talked to a certain way, and treated poorly by a man. And these women usually have a lot of issues. If that is what these men want and are going for fine, but don’t lump all women in that same boat b/c the types of women they go for like that treatment.
Confidence, dominance, assertiveness are the traits that MOST all women want n a man. As you said, we want to feel like women and therefore we want a man that will allow us to do so by allowing us to trust him that he can take control without going overboard and being assertive at the time she needs to be.

But we also want level headed men who as you said respect us and treat us well.

I get approached a lot by very assholey kind of guys sometimes and the *ONLY* thing attractive about them is that they just don’t care and go after what they want. It doesn’t matter where you are (lol) in Kinkos (yes some have even tried to pick me up in KINKOS (LOL) , a store etc. If that guy sees you and wants to talk to you he’s going to find a way to do it. That is what women like about some guys and sometimes the asshole guys do have a lot of confidence.

It is far more than the obviously damaged, deranged women that go for the swagger that “bad boys” emit.

            I have a buddy – call him C.

Tall, well-built, carries his own 6-pack (not abs – beer) everywhere. Clearly a drunk from his mid-teens on.

But he is tall with broad shoulders, narrow waist, not even particularly good looking, usually unemployed or underemployed, yet he could always pull chicks. Some of them were damaged (when you knew their history), the ones he had LTRs with eventually gave up on him.

On the other hand, while reading the nightmare stories across the manosphere, I realized that I know good women that don’t fit the mold portrayed there. I’ve probably been with a couple of them, but hadn’t the sense to know it.

One number I’ve heard repeated in the MGTOW forums is that about 1 in 7 women aren’t the parasitical witches of which they gripe.

              BOB,

That is what Liza and I are saying – that initially these guys are attractive b/c they carry a lot of confidence and assertiveness. But once a decent woman goes beyond that and gets to know them, they end up bouncing b/c they realize they do not like his overall behavior.

So in essence if the game sites are saying that to get women initially this works it may very well work – BIT ONLY initially for most women. The only women who will continue to stick aroun with guys like that and put up with guys like your buddy are damaged women with issues.

That behavior becomes a turn off after so long.

It’s like no middle ground whatsoever with the manosphere and the feminosphere when it comes to the opposite sex. And that is the reason I took the blog in this direction b/c there is no way that all of one gender is alike. There are things in place that may make or allow for a particular gender to do the same things. There is enough blame to go around for men and women and its not just one genders fault for the way things are. There needs to be more middle ground sites willing to address the real issues without always pointing the finger to one gender as the sole problem.

But as you said, PUA sites and femi sites are too one sided and “anti the other gender” to really be taken too much to heart. While there are some good points discussed at times about the *DIFFERENCES* between men and women and how to capitalize or understand how each gender works in the mating arena, making it seem like its all or nothing for a gender is so ridiculous.

Unfortunately a lot of the guys who read those PUA sites were level headed men at some point and they are being trained to be cynical of women and go about treating women like children by playing games. But what is never really the focus is yes that behavior will work on certain types of women but not all. It’s always his message that all women like jerks and assholes and that is sooo not true. Then they f/u with that only attractive women go for assholes and that is also not true either. *DAMAGED* women go for men who mistreat them.

            Water seeks its own level.

Damaged people are drawn to damaged people.

Problem is, these days, damaged people seem to be the rule rather than the exception.

That’s why all that PUA stuff is mostly garbage. It’s all scripted lines and canned routines.

The real key is self-improvement, whether you’re a man or a woman. Work out, eat better, find new hobbies/interests, GROW as a person. All this is lost on the “no maintenance” people mentioned in the OP – the people who just don’t care or have given up.

Being a better man/woman and developing confidence and strength talkes work, and ya gotta be willing to put the work in.

The media is basically showing us as we are now.

“The media is basically showing us as we are now. ”

Hmm… I’m not so sure about that.

Is the media showing us as we are, or are we (society) just becoming what the media is showing us?

What/who we see on these news / reality /entertainment gossip shows only represents a VERY small % of the population. Are people copying the drama and behaviors they see in the media simply because they PERCIEVE it as reality?

It’s basically a chicken or the egg question.

I believe the media exemplifies a small number of sereotypical people and behaviors and encourages that behavior amongst the masses by overloading our eyes, ears and brains with these sterotypes all day everyday. Eventually people start adopting these traits b/c they think its the norm and “ok” b/c its on television.

i never underestimate the power of influence with the media. I was a media major starting out and media has *ALWAYS* been a strong force in creating, influencing and branding.

See our modern media. Does anybody sane or intelligent get their own reality show? Don’t the media thrive on drama and portray drama queens?

Ever notice how interviewers (“journalists”) seem to go out of their way to provoke crying? Like asking a woman how she feels about her kids dying, right after they died?

                  This culture is sick.

BADDABING! That’s juts it. There is nothing *really* completely wrong with Beta guys IMO. They are completely TRASHED as scum of the earth on Game sites. In fact, all these level headed Beta guys who are losing out need to do is make simple improvements in their confidence level, social skills, possibly dress better and they will be just fine. They don’t need to become asswipes to be successful with women or to have a better outcome in life.

Yep. Just like you elaborated on in your monkey/man in the middle post.

Being an a-hole will get you laid, but the novelty wears off, unless that sort of behavior is already ingrained in a woman’s head.

That’s the big issue. Most damaged people have had this kind of stuff beaten into their heads all their lives. Are they beyond hope? Maybe.

I think when I go back East in Spring I’m going to drag my Moms (OR LIZA – you down Chika?) with me and take a trip to Atlantic City since i have never been. I don’t think its very far from NY and NJ.

Vegas is just its own special city. I love it there when i go b/c so many people from all over come there. Its a really great and fun place for sure!

Yeah Vegas is awesome. I always meet cool peeps in Vegas no matter what. And yes the men come from all over so you have a nice smorgasboard of fellas to meet since they are from so many places. I met this one cutie from Colorado, one from Kansas, Michigan, and PLEASE DON’T LAUGH – butterrruhm – yes even MISSISSIPPI LMAO! hey Neecy,

Just discovered your blog – I like your style. Nice to see there’s still women out there who “get it”.

While I agree wholeheartedly abouit the whole high / low / no maintenance thing – it’s very important to me that a woman can look good w/no makeup and just a t-shirt and jeans, or just one of my button-down shirts – a woman’s maintenance level goes beyond the physical realm.

I’ve dated several women in the past who were low maintenance physically, but turned out to be mega-HIGH maintenance personally and emotionally. Daddy/mommy issues, drug/alcohol issues, money isseus, can’t hold down a job, self harm – you get the idea.

My point is that being well-grounded and relatively baggage-free is just as important to being low maintanence as the physical aspects of it. Maybe you could touch on those issues in another post. I’d like to get your thoughts on that.

Anyway, I’m diggin’ the blog, so you’ll probably be seeing me around .

      HEY ANON!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and sticking around. I love to get more input from people and I look forward to you joining the convos.

You did hit some really good points I want to address.

I do think most guys like a low maintenance woman but one who still looks good and well put together. Some women are low maintenance but still very attractive. So my point is no matter what maintenance you are as a woman, just make sure that you always make an effort to look your best whatever that is. Some women do not need make up at all and still look good. I don’t think women should consistently wear tons of make-up b/c it’s just not great for the skin. But there are some staples that all women can do each day to enhance their looks like a little mascara and lip gloss, or blush and lip gloss or eye liner etc. I just think that today women have become so complacent and lazy about their looks and image that its become the norm for a lot of women to not make an effort and that is never good.

I know what you mean about low maintenance women who were high maintenance in other areas of their lives. Bob and I were discussing this a few posts up. That some women may be high maintenance in their looks but low maintenance in other areas of their life and low maintenance women can be high maintenance in other areas of their lives as you have UNOFRTUNATLEY discovered. LOL

I think b/c most men are typically low maintenance in their personalities (i.e. practical, simple) they do seek women who are somewhat there but also want them to make an effort to look good for them as well.

ITA that being well grounded and drama free is something many women should work on. It seems today in feminist culture women celebrate and encourage “DRAMA” as if it’s a woman’s rites of passage to have a lot of drama b/c hat is “just what women do and are”. I don’t buy it. I hate drama and stay far away from people who indulge in it.

Alright, cool. I’m not anonymous any more. Thx Neecy and Liza.

As for drama, I remember back when I was in high school a buddy of mine said something one day that still sticks with me. He said that most girls (not all) see their lives like they’re the star of their own little soap opera. And in order to keep the show interesting, they have to bring drama into their lives.

I always thought that was kind of profound, and all these years later, damn if he wasn’t right for the most part. A lot of women get BORED w/o drama – the question to me is is this nature or nurture?

And as for most men having low maintenance personalities, I don’t know about that. There’s a lot of guys out there of all ages who are just complete f**k-ups.

YAY you have a name and MONSTER attached to you now. You are no longer a Neecy Nest orphan! 😀

LOL Well I have to admit I was a drama queen in junior high (ESPECIALLY JUNIOR HIGH), High school and its started tapering off my mid college years. I think my mother can attest to the nightmare I was in junior high school and early high school years. So I agree that mostly young girls like drama b/c it’s exciting and keeps them busy lol.

But grown ass women and drama is not cute. Drama is a stage a woman should certainly grow out after a certain age and point. When adult women have a lot of drama they look ridiculous and immature. I can understand young girls with drama b/c that is what they do and it’s kind of natural for them to always have a bunch of crap going on.

When I say men are lower maintenance on average I mean moreso the level headed average guy next door is usually pretty low key, simple and has only a few things he desires. Most men don’t have a lot of drama unless they are the metrosexual types. lol

    Omerta,

No one can deny the power the media has had in influencing human behavior. It can very well be the case of life imitating art. However, there are many people who come from very abusive backgrounds and have had very traumatic experiences very early on in life and as a result are very damaged–a lot. I minored in psychology (had some therapy myself over the years) and it has helped to recognize damage/neurosis in others and although I am not a mental health professional–I will say that the majority of the people I encounter online and offline are not mentally and emotionally well these days.

They are similar in that the people that post typically harbor issues and some hate towards the opposite sex. Now I am not saying I believe Roissy himself hates women etc., but many of his readers and participants are very anti woman. Not al but a lot.

I can also go to a femmy site and read comments from the participants that clearly show a dislike of men in general.

Those kinds of sites are breeding grounds for people who are anti the opposite sex. Like I said I don’t believe al the guys hat post at Roissy are anti- woman but a lot are.

Roissy is the ringleader of these anti-women–men that visit and comment on his blog.

Neecy, you and Roissy should get a room and bang it out, girl. I bet it would be spectacular!!

OH NO! I could only deal with a Roissy type for about .05 secs before I want to either kill him or myself.

My view on Roissy is this – he is not really a woman hater. He has major issues but I don’t think it revolves around hating women. I also think he exagerrates a lot for the sake of his audience so i am not so sure he believe all of what he even writes. LOL I just don’t get Woman hating vibe from him.

Also, *SOMETIMES* i do believe his advice is helpful to guys who are being burned by certain kinds of women out there.

for the most part, he has issues too but I don’t think he *HATES* women.

Nah, I wouldn’t say Roissy is a woman hater. I honestly don’t think most of his responders are either.

I think the problem over there is there’s a big ol’ “us vs. them” sentiment that’s spun WAAAY out of control.

Like any monster, if you feed it, it grows.

That’s the majority of what I think goes on at his site – US vS. THEM. But that is the same thing that goes on at Femmy sites too. US vs. THEM. The “other gender” is the cause and reason for all the problems in the SMP.

I mean i am not against men or women having spaces to go to bitch, vent and complain about the opposite sex. i think in some ways it can be rehabilitating to have a space where like minds can talk, bitch vent about what they have gone through with the opposite sex and learn ways to avoid being burned again etc.

But I find myself even annoyed at female & male sites like this b/c most of the time the women and men are not looking at their own mistakes or role in what went wrong with the opposite sex. That is the problem when you have sites like that. Everyone is a “VICTIM” of the opposite sex and no one wants to look at what THEY DID to allow themselves to fall into a bad situation with the opposite sex.

I do believe there are a number of decent men who dwell over at Roissy’s. But there are also quite a bit of delusional woman hating asswipes who also occupy space there. Often times they stand out b/c they are so extreme and such idiots.

Either way I kinda have a love/hate relationship with Roissy. Maybe b/c for the time I posted there he allowed me to infiltrate his space and really didn’t give me a hard time. Who knows. Also I think I have a soft spot for him regardless b/c this blog was started as a result of having been on that site and meeting cool guys from there. I dunno. I just don’t think he is *ALL* bad. I think he exaggerates a lot.

But One guy who I do feels harbors hatred for women is ROOSH V.

On a comparison of “Game” perspectives with feminism:

See many quotes of the feminists here:

    IN THEIR OWN WORDS: A,B,C,D,E,F

Some amazing batshit crazy stuff there.

“The institution of sexual intercourse is anti-feminist” — Ti-Grace Atkinson “Amazon Odyssey” (p. 86)

“Feminism is the theory, lesbianism is the practice.” — Ti-Grace Atkinson

“Heterosexual intercourse is the pure, formalized expression of contempt for women’s bodies.” — Andrea Dworkin, Letters from a War Zone, (Dutton Publishing, 1989)

“In order to raise children with equality, we must take them away from families and communally raise them” — Dr. Mary Jo Bane,

Be sure not to miss the other 3 sections further covering the alphabet.

Ha! I remember once when I was about 18 I was hanging out one day w/this girl I was seeing at the time. It was summer and she was wearing these little shorts, and I played (bare-handed, of course) “Wipe-Out” on her booty.

To say she was turned on would be a MASSIVE understatement.

Ahh, memories…. light the corners of my mind…
