Kind of off-topic, but well within this blog’s purview:

    http://www.amazon.com/Dont-Blame-Rio-Behind-Brazil/dp/0446178063/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1322790567&sr=1-1

This is what I’m currently reading. Yeah, the title kind of grabbed me, but it turns out this book is not just about men heading to Brazil for kinky sex…it’s specifically about African-American men heading South for the down low. The author is a social worker and his co-author won a Pulitzer for something. It isn’t rated terribly highly, but it is fascinating. It talks about the marriage rates, interracial marriage, and why numerous middle-class and high-earning black men are turning their backs on African-American women. And vice versa.

…and I am curious as to why Brazilian women are so hawt. Because it’s not prostitutes whese guys are chasing down there.

I’ve got no axe to grind or grudge to bear in that squabble, so I find it very fascinating. When you consider that Japan is experiencing the lowest birth rate in the world right now, marriage worldwide is in free-fall, and feminism does all it can to f*ck up everyone’s lives, it makes me wonder what this world is going to be like in 100 years.

      Z,

Interesting you brought this up. I have been aware of Black males going to not only Brazil but also the Dominican Republic to get sex and women. Rarely do they ever marry these women as they are looking for sexual favors and hook ups. A lot of these women are quite beautiful but very poor and uneducated and will do most anything with men who come from places like the USA where they have money. Think White men who travel to Asia to get young attractive POOR and uneducated women they could not get in the USA. Same thing.

True story. My friend had a male friend who had introduced her to one of his close buddies. They are all well to do African American males and educated and are always traveling – especially to places like Dominican Republic (which she later find out) . My friend and the guy hit it off really well and he was heavily pursuing her for a relationship. He told her he was definitely looking to get married and settle down. She definitely was considering him as LTR material b/c he was a good guy, head on his shoulders, educated and financially well off. He had mentioned to her that he wanted to buy a home and property in Dominican Republic and she couldn’t figure out why. He told her for “vacation” etc. So they actually started dating and getting pretty serious.

Well the mutual friend (the guy who hooked them up) had a get together/party at his home one evening and one of their friends brings up their last trip/vacation to the Dominican Republic. My g/f said the guy she was with suddenly started becoming uncomfortable as his buddies started talking about their travels. One of the guys then decides to show the video of them in Dominican Repub to show off the ”hot” women they were with. At this point the guy my friend is with is really uncomfy and is trying to dissuade them from showing the video.

So they start looking at the video and she said something didn’t sit right with her while viewing. She said they were all like in a pool with tons of women and she said the women were very very attractive but seemed to be all over these men for obvious reasons that they were visiting from US and had money. Her light bulb flickered on and she actually put two and two together.

After that incident it occurred to her that her friend and the guy she was considering dating are among a lot of Black men who travel to exotic places hooking up with attractive yet poor women for sex etc. She said she was immediately turned off of this guy b/c she started thinking back to all the talks he had about wanting to have property in Dominican Republic and how he was always traveling to DP and other places where women will barter themselves and sex for males visiting outside of the countries who have money. So she ended that relationship b/c she felt it was going to be nothing but trouble and that he was too high risk (lots of diseases floating around in those countries).

So yes its real. But for me frankly, I really don’t care. I stopped caring about what and who Black men are doing years ago *shrugs*.

That’s pretty much what the book goes on about. Sex tourism. I even hear women do it in Jamaica and places in northern Africa.

        What a sad world.

Still, you should stay positive. There’s probably some super-hunky white dude out there with “Mr. Neecy” written all over him. Probably a geek who plays with silicon wafers. Antlers, too. Too bad he’s old enough to be your father!

It works both ways though Neecy

Today beach resorts in developing countries such as Kuta in Bali, Negril in Jamaica and Boca Chica and Sosua in the Dominican Republic have become Third World pick-up spots for women tourists. Tour companies even market package deals as sex holidays for single and unaccompanied women. Forget Shirley Valentine, these women – who range from grandmothers to teens – don’t want a long-term relationship. And there’s plenty of live flesh on sale.

Take Jamaica, where 17 per cent of the population lives below the poverty line. Hustling on the beach is the only way that some young men can feed themselves and their families. No wonder they choose older women who pay better than younger ones. InNegril, the men can earn $100 (£60) for sex with a female tourist, £90 for oral sex, which Jamaican men usually regard as taboo. Many others are hired as a guide to the island and throw in sexual services, often just for a meal or a place to sleep.

You can call this what you like, me , I’ll call it FUBAR. Mayhap this should be your next post.

Now will you please let poor Liza out from where you’ve locked her up !!!

Sorry BOB but you had George DUBYA fugging up this country for 8 years and he hardly received the kind of shit Obama gets. Obama came in and took over 8 years of bullshit that George created. He’s trying his best to clean it up and people just won’t let him.

For god’s sakes he knocked off OSAMA and that other crazy and still can’t get credit for anything.
I’m not one to play the race card, but the writing is on the wall here as to why Obama is so hated and can’t catch a break. Especially when prior to him the White president was a complete FUCK UP and ruined this country.

And I am not even DEMOCRATIC anymore either. So I am truly looking at this from an unbiased and neutral standpoint.

And i won’t even get started on the sickening amount of HATRED his poor wife receives. It’s very clear as to what is at play here.

He’d be a fool to run for office again after how this country treats him and his wife. It’s truly sickening.

EXACTLY LIZA! And i am not one to play the race card. the fact is Obama is being bullied by White Americans b/c he is Black. George Bush fucked up for EIGHT YEARS and hardly a peep was heard from most White Americans.

Clearly this *hatred* for Obama goes way beyond his actions and has more to do with what he is. And I aint even a Democrat! If I were him I wouldn’t even run for president anymore – they don’t deserve a man like him in office. let them have their George DUBYAS who can fuck up this country and everyone acts like its not happening until a Black man comes in.

Americans have shown absolutely no respect to him and no regard as to what he had on his shoulders from the previous FUCK UP of a President who was White.
Basically he is trying to clean up 8 years of bullshit that Bush left behind.

I’m not a Black man protector, but i call a spade a spade. I like Obama as a person and think his heart is in the right place. He tries to meet people halfway but The problem is he gets NO COOPERATION from anyone and even his wife is treated like garbage. Americans have truly shown their ass these last 4 years and I would not even give them the satisfaction of running for office again.

yep. Not just WM either. WW, Asians everyone. But little do they know when they start trying to talk down about Obama in front of me I just look at them and shake my head. B/C I already understand why they are foaming at the mouths. The problem is, this level of hatred was not directed to a White president before him who CLEARLY fucked this country up. And that is my problem with this whole “obama ruined this country” balogne.

Sometimes I feel White people have this need to not hold themselves accountable for being fuck ups. So instead its convienent to blame a Black male for everything wrong with this country b/c thier pride will not allow them to admit it was in FACT a WHite man who sorely ruined this country for 8 years and has created a uge mess that will take DECADES to clean up. The reality is OBAMA INHERITED the SHIT a White man left behind. No one will DARE acknowledge or say this. And when Bush was in office no one dared say it either.

                      unbelievable.

Now, they are questioning his (Obama’s) intelligence since he is half black and you know how dumb we black folks are in comparison to white folks (please!). When clearly Bush is a fucking idiot, whose father paid off Harvard to make his idiot son could graduacate while Obama had to work his ass off and prove himself in order to get his law degree– he did not have a rich daddy waiting the wings to buy him one.

I get sick of some WP who are also going out of their way to prove how much better they are than BP. If they see us as less than they are, then why write books and conduct studies every fucking year. We are inferior so why spend so much time and energy on us trying to prove it? And who are they really trying to prove it to. Us or themselves . So that most of them can walk around feeling that they are superior to another race of people. It is really sick.

Liza so on point! It kinda reminds me of this obsession society has with constantly berating and using Black women as their whipping posts. Notice there is always some “study” etc. on the attractiveness of Black women or why Black women are not getting married or why Black women are so overweight yada yada. Its like that OK CUPID “study” that focused on which race of people were more sought after than others – OF COURSE it favored Whites so they used this ridiculous ass study to somehow prove White people were the most sought after group while Black women weren’t. Yet it didn’t want to cover the EXTENSIVE reasons these kinds of things would occur, but simply try to point to some kind of “natural” superiority of Whites over Blacks.

I’m so over it already. Its like what are you trying to prove????

I’ve come to realize that people who spend time and energy trying to tear someone, something or a group down or who are constantly comparing themselves in FAVOR of a particular person, group or thing, its they who have the inferiority complexes.

the amount of energy spent on what race has the highest IQ, what race has this that is utterly beyond annoying and pointless. It’s just a way for some of the more insecure people of a group to look for others they can feel they are above. That’s it in a nutshells. I don’t even bother myself with arguing with White people who are constantly harping on stupid shit to prove their “superiority” over Blacks. Its obvious there is some deep need for some Whites to obsess over how wonderful and superior they are over Blacks b/c maybe it helps them sleep better at night? Who the eff knows. I’m just sick of it.

if one is truly superior or truly *feels* they are superior you don’t need to constantly try to prove it by comparisons. BOOYA!

                    I dislike Obama because he’s a Marxist.

Now, I never voted for Bush. I thought he was a doofus. But with the stimulus packages, constant printing of money and selling debt to China, Obama is doing WAY more damage to our economy than Bush could have ever concieved. That’s not a race issue.

Neecy: “For god’s sakes he knocked off OSAMA and that other crazy and still can’t get credit for anything.”

You mean when Bush lowered corporate taxes? Hate to break this to ya, but, THAT’S HOW YOU STIMULATE THE ECONOMY. Raping the economy? Come on Liz, give me a break. You’ve got to make it easier for companies/corporations to do business so they can afford to lower their prices, move more product, and hire more people to keep up w/ the increased demand. But of course, the liberal media spins that as “tax cuts for the rich”. They love that line – Class Warfare 101. I understand that, anyone who’s ever studied economics understands that, but Obama doesn’t. And, once again, it ain’t cuz he’s black.

Neecy: :…they don’t deserve a man like him in office.”

You’re right. WE deserve a president who actually RESPECTS the Constitution, not one who thinks he’s ABOVE it.

And Bush NEVER got criticized? You mean when the left called him Hitler? You mean when Hollywood released a movie that depicted his assassination?

Neecy: “I am truly looking at this from an unbiased and neutral standpoint.”

                    Uh, not quite.

“i know exactly what’s at play here and its damb ugly and wrong.”

No, what’s dumb, ugly and wrong is assuming that any criticism of Obama is based on race and not on political ideology. Sure, there will always be people who hate on anyone because of skin color, and that’s wrong. But to chalk up any criticism of Obama and his policies to racism? C’mon Neece and Liza – I haven’t been around here that long, but I know you’re better than that.

Alright, end rant. I’ve got a concert to go to tonight and my nephew’s B-day party tomorrow, so I won’t be able to respond to any responses til sometime Sunday evening. Don’t think I’m hidin’ from ya. 😉

        Neecy and Zorro,

I really couldn’t care less about what BM are up to these days. I rarely concern myself with them and how they are living. I only care about the ones in my family and most of them are pretty decent–that is it.

Liza, You and I are —————–><———————————- I could care less about what random BM are doing. I care about and concern myself with the ones in my life like family and friends. That's it. Many more Black women could stand to take that approach too. Life is so much more happier when a Black women stops concerning herself with what BM are doing – and everyone else for that matter. If more of us concerned ourselves with making our lives happier and getting what we want we wouldn't blink an eye at what others are doing.

            Neecy,

Some BW should really take a walk on this side of life–it is really sweet and serene.

I remember about 2 years ago, I was in the subway station and the transit police were roughing up some random BM for not paying his fare or so I assumed. As they were cuffing him, he looked at me as I was walking by as if I should feel sorry for him or say something. Nevertheless, I just turned my head and kept on walking.

I have heard BW say that when BM find themselves in trouble with the authorities they are somehow expect BW to feel sympathetic and make attempts to help them. It has really never occured to me that they did that because I usually do not pay that much attention. That day I just wanted to see if it was true… and it was! N***** please, I am not that BW. Nope!

Yes Liza I have experienced same situations when BM are in any kind of trouble whether be in the workplace or with the law, they always EXPECT A Black woman (even stranger) to come to their rescue and defense. Like you, I AINT that Black woman. nope! Especially when they haven’t returned the favor? Psssh! Some Black women got it bad always running to a Black man’s rescue. Like I said if my dad or a Black man close to me as a friend or family etc., gets in any situation I will concern myself. But random BM? NOPE! Not the way they treat Black women.

And you know what else I find? Random Black men on the street feel way too comfy with coming up to a Black woman asking her for money etc. And I notice anytime stranger Black man wants something from a Black woman he will *ALWAYS* (never fails) use the “hey sister” line. ALWAS! It never fails anytime a Black man says to me “hey sister…” I kow he’s about to ask me for something. LOL

Yep. The worse part is a lot of dark skinned beauties like her are so torn down by Black men and thier light skin color preferences, they actually avoid White men and other races b/c they feel if a Black man can’t appreciate their dark beauty that other races of men won’t either. So they develop low self esteem instead of seeking out men who would love them and thier beautiful dark skin. Black women need to step out of the Matrix – light and dark but ESPECIALLY DARK skinned Black women. they are missing out on so many men of other races who would love to have them.

A Black woman living her life based on what BM find appealing is a Black woman who may as well just lay down and die.

the amount of energy spent on what race has the highest IQ, what race has this that is utterly beyond annoying and pointless. It’s just a way for some of the more insecure people of a group to look for others they can feel they are above. That’s it in a nutshells.

One of the problems with African American culture is the lack of value for education (but BW have come to learn it ‘s value, thank god). Which is the real problem, especially since the hip hop culture took over.

Black people have contributed so much to medicine and science in this country but white people (and some Asians) behave as if they are the only ones that ever contributed anything to the advancement of society.

Well as much as I hate to admit this (and it could be from lack of knowledge) I don’t believe Backs in general have contributed much to science and medicine. I could be wrong however. But I can tell you that working in both the medical and dental field as a rep, I can count on one hand (and not even all my fingers cover it on onehand) the number of Black physicians and/or dentists I have encountered. The most I have ever seen was at a convention for Black dentists or doctors. That’s not good. especially when I constantly have Indian, Asian, White, Middle Eastern (and now even more Hispanics are entering advanced medical degress).

And i even ask co workers living in different territories and states how many Blacks they encounter as doctor’s and/or dentists. And most of the naswers are none to maybe one or two. I have been in the pharma field for a few years and I honestly rarely if ever come across a Black doctor.

But Asians, Indians and even Middle eaterners and Whites are representiative of the avergae docs or dentists I come across and the average rep comes across daily as a rep. It is what it is.

I say that b/c i agree that African Americans in general devalue education – therefore, you will less liekly see many in such fields of medicine and science. Which leads me to believe there is not much that Blacks have contributed in this area especially if they are not greatly represened in the local sectors of medicine as physician’s.

HOWEVER, I don’t think its b/c Blacks are inferioir. I believe its b/c Black people do not value education or the sciences or even mathematics in great numbers b/c we are not PUSHED by our parents and families or communities to pursue such careers.

Its the same as most Indians are not pushed to pursue liberal degrees and more encourged and trained to go after science, math and medical degrees.

Neecy, we did in the past but like I said the rise of the hip hop has really dumbed us down horribly. Please, google black inventors or better yet go to the library. Blacks invented the Pacemaker, the Hearing aid, conducted the first open heart surgery, the refrigrat0r and many many more.

But, now, we seem to be only producing out-of wedlock babies. I just had to say it.

And yes hip hop culture had not only further dumbed lazy Blacks down but its also dumbing down other races and cultures.

I agree and also a much greater explanation of why some races perform better on standardized tests and SAT tests etc.

The amount of money and resources that White and Asian parents put into their childrens success and education is far greater than what the average African American does. And also many White and Asian parents start early in preparing their children to successfully pass SAT exams with higher scores by paying for tutoring and SAT prep courses.

There is so much at play that its ridiculous to even use half of stuff as any real measurement of superiority.

Until a race or group of people can walk on water, jump from a building and fly like a bird and plane, avoid bleeding and death AINT no one more superioir than anyone else.

We all are gonna die, we all are going to bleed etc. Until one proves they can avoid all those things then I may call them superior. Until then I’m like STFU. LOL

That it right, Neecy, the white and Asian cultures value education more than blacks. Asians value education the most therefore, they score higher on SAT’s and standardized tests.

American culture overall does not value education–notice how we treat the smartest among us. We call them nerds, geeks and dorks and the ridiculing never stops. I can almost assure you that this does not occur in the Asian culture because their smartest and brightest are held in higher esteem.

The subject of Race and IQ is potentially incendiary.

The first thing to keep in mind is that it can have no bearing on your reaction to an individual; that judgment is reserved for actual experience with that actual individual.

Beyond that, there are signs that cultural factors are very important: See Rich, Black, Flunking :

The black parents wanted an explanation. Doctors, lawyers, judges, and insurance brokers, many had come to the upscale Cleveland suburb of Shaker Heights specifically because of its stellar school district. They expected their children to succeed academically, but most were performing poorly. African-American students were lagging far behind their white classmates in every measure of academic success: grade-point average, standardized test scores, and enrollment in advanced-placement courses. On average, black students earned a 1.9 GPA while their white counterparts held down an average of 3.45.
    ….
UC Berkeley Anthropology Professor John Ogbu had spent decades studying how the members of different ethnic groups perform academically.

They conducted exhaustive interviews with school personnel, black parents, and students. Their project yielded an unexpected conclusion: It wasn’t socioeconomics, school funding, or racism, that accounted for the students’ poor academic performance; it was their own attitudes, and those of their parents.

Ogbu concluded that the average black student in Shaker Heights put little effort into schoolwork and was part of a peer culture that looked down on academic success as “acting white.” Although he noted that other factors also play a role, and doesn’t deny that there may be antiblack sentiment in the district, he concluded that discrimination alone could not explain the gap.

I was never a great fan of the man who told us that “the Saudis are our friends,” but for anyone to claim that GWB “hardly received” the level, extent and vitriol of abuse that Obama has only recently received suggests a 28-day visit to the Betty Ford Clinic.

Conservatives have and will always besmear and slander liberals. Liberals have always and shall continue to claim conservatives are blood-drinking zombies. And when you are talking about presidents, politics is always #1.

For the record, I maintain that the present dunce in the White House, that breathtaking pox on two legs, that teenager-in-a-suit, the unapologetically vapid “community organizer” ass clown whose only talent in life is to vote “present” is without a doubt the worst president we have had in 100 years. And I think he is fugging up this country on purpose because he’s just one more left-wing Marxist trying to destroy the U.S.

Sure as hell I don’t hate him because he’s black, or I have some explaning to do to Colin Powell and Condy Rice, both of whom I think are the two finest people to work in our federal gov’t since Theodore Roosevelt.

I would but I am not arguing about policies since I don’t know enough about politics and policies to argue them.

However, I am arguing the tangible and OBVIOUS disrespect and hatred Obama and his innocent Black wife receives that no other president (even the worse George Bush) has yet to receive.

So argue that – that there was ever a first lady that has receied the amount of hate and disrespect as Micheele and ask yourself WHY NOT? If people are quick to talk shit and put down the innocent party (A Black first ady who makes no policies but simply wakes up every morning to her husband who is Prez) then why would it not be so far feteched they’d hate on Obama simply b/c they have lack of respect for a Black person in a powerful position?

I personally feel trh nit picking that goes on with Obama and his policies has more to do with the fact that White Americans have an issue with a Black person in power.

So you admit to not being familiar w/ Obama’s politics and policies, and yet, once again, you’re playing the race card saying it’s not about his politics and policies.

Ugh. We’re right back where we started.

As Zorro has pointed out and as I have seen myself WHITE MALE politicians and political analysts as well as general White American population such as Glenn beck, Rush Limbaugh and another one (can’t think of his name) are CONSTANTLY taking jabs at Michelle for no reason at all.

Rush Limbaughs fat ass obviously has a problem with her lose weight campaign and is always taking jabs at her for that – maybe b/c his grotesque fat ass doesn’t wanna lose weight? Who knoes!

One political analyst (i think it ay have been Glen Beck but possibly someone else) even went so far as to call his oldest daughter a HOE about a year ago when she was wearing some shirt in Italy and he disagreed with her support of something (I can look it up).

Maybe you just haven’t paid attention but Michelle gets a lot of hate and disrespect from people calling her ugly, a baby momma, a bitch, useless etc.

And no I don’t pay much attention to the detail of all political policies although I do know that I don’t agree with many of the policies Obama makes – like the Healthcare and bail outs. I also believe he is too damn nice and accomodating and needs to get some balls.

But you don’t believe on some level that there are a lot of White Americans that are using their “issues” of Obama and his policies as a cover up for their fear and distrust of a Black person in the highest office? As Liza said, why is it so far fetched that the one group that has held the most powerful position since the beginning of America (WHite males) would not have the SLIGHTEST issue with a Black man in that seat and would not seek to nit pick everyting he did? Come on!

Well, if Michelle is really taking that kind of heat, that’s pretty weak. I mean, to me, she’s a non-factor. And the kids should be off-limits.

As I stated earlier, there will ALWAYS be whites who won’t want to see blacks in positions of power. I want nothing to do with them. But most of us who do not support the Obamas have actual, legitimate, non-racial reasons for it, as me, zorro, bob and marellus have PLAINLY shown.

“As Liza said, why is it so far fetched that the one group that has held the most powerful position since the beginning of America (WHite males) would not have the SLIGHTEST issue with a Black man in that seat and would not seek to nit pick everyting he did?”

Because, contrary to your belief, most of us don’t look at life as a black/white power struggle. THAT’S why it’s so far-fetched!

One other thing: Nobody has ever accused Obama of premeditatedly murdering 3,000 civilians, blowing up lower Manhattan and daggering the national economy for the alleged purpose of driving the US to war in the Middle East.

Obama has had it so easy, I think he should be working for free (if you call bowing and reading teleprompters work).

      I disagree.

Anyone who dared publicly and openly say anything about Bush was railroaded – think about how the Dixie chicks received so much flack and hate for simply saying they were ashamed of Bush being from their state.

I RARELY heard the amount of virtrol directed at Bush as I do Obama. The shit that many of Obama’s peers have said and gotten away with is utterly sickening. They would never say OR DO such things about a White President even if they hated his guts. There seems to be some level of respect that even the worst White presidents get that Obama has yet to receive. And that is my beef.

All I know is that Obama is treated very poorly by Americans and i don’t believe its all based on his “policies”. I say that b/c of how Bush was rarely put down and if he was anyone who put him down was treated badly (think Dixie Chicks).

The Dixie chicks were a real tragedy. They were very talented musically, and their music transcended conventional norms of country. I don’t like country, but they were awesome. So one day in England, one of them spouted off her hatred of GWB and the fit hit the shan.

I agree, Neecy, I too will never be convinced that some of the vitriol against Obama is not motivated by his race. I do not with all his policies and I was not happy when he bailed out the Wall Street fat cats and made the healthcare his first focus when he should have been focusing on getting Americans back to work.

However, to say that he is entirely responsible for the condition this country is right now– is complete and utter bullshit and reeks of deep ceded racism that appears to be at a subconscious level for some white people in this country, especially older white men.

                Z,

Honesty, white men are quite use to holding most of the power cards in America. It’s really hard for me to believe that on some level there isn’t some resentment towards the Obamas and the fear that white men will lose their hold on the most powerful positions in this country.

I believe that many white men are terrified and very fearful (ridiculous) and that is what racism is at its core–fear.

TOTALLY AGREE Liza. i believe A LOT of the virtrol against Obama is about lack of respect for him b/c of what he is and not what he is or isn’t doing. The proof was in the pudding with the President before him who literally put this country in the condition it is now.

Not only that, look at the virtrol and hate his wife Michelle receives? Uhm HELLO how much more transparent does it need to be. if WHite Americans are quick to pull the trigger on Michelle (who does not make any poilicies or political decisions) but just simply happens ot be a BLACK First lady, then why would they not be so quick to pull the trigger towards Obama b/c he is Black?

The fact is many White Americans have a lack of respect for a Black person in power. Obama or any other Black person would be a damn fool to try to ever run for a powerful position in this country ever again based on how Obama is being treated.

My issue with Obama is he is too damn nice. he is always trying to be accomodating to the main people who treat him like shit. He needs to get some damn balls already. THAT is mainly what I dislike about him. But I think he is genuinley a good man with his heart in the right place.

Once a gain, I suggest a look at history – Michelle involved herself very much in her husband’s campaign and somewhat in policy. Hillary Clinton did as well, and was equally, if not more, reviled by Conservatives. Last I looked, Hillary Clinton was white.

Except that Obama was lying, for 2 reasons:

              1) Most, if not all, efforts to deny “entitlements” to illegals have been overruled by the Supreme Court.

              2) Left to his own devices, Obama would make all the illegals into citizens.

No, they would just do it to the worst President of any color. Obamacare is so far beyond the pale in government nanny-state interference (and ditto the Obama EPA, the Obama DOJ) that he invites this.

I will concede that there are some racists in this country. But I will say that it is vastly overstated. Once again, look at history: the Clintons were equally reviled and they were Southern Whites.

Quite true. It took huge bipartisan fucking-up and corruption in Congress and the previous 2 administrations, with special emphasis on the GWB administration – and immense corporate greed – to cause this.

Liza is correct. My FY was directed solely at the “argument” of “subconscious racism” as a “cause” for any substantial part of the opposition to the policies of Barack Obama – and included the person leveling that treacherous “argument”.

“subconscious racism” is the last “argument” of losers. It can’t be disproven – but it can’t be proven either. It’s not an “argument” – it is an attempt to choke off argument, through intimidating the target. I AM NOT INTIMIDATED. Never again. I have been totally desensitized because the accusation has been so totally abused.

Liza is absolutlely wrong, as simply reading my post would show. I apologize for saying “F*** you” to Liza. That was over the top.

I still hold the concept of “subconscious racism” in utter contempt, as explained below.

                    However:

Liza said: Neecy, I dont really believe his issue was about the comment I made.

Liza is wrong. My ire was directed at the “argument” of “subconscious racism” as a “cause” for any substantial part of the opposition to the policies of Barack Obama.

MLK dreamed of a world where people would be judged on the “content of their character” – but how is that to be discerned?

I (and most people, I think) expect to be judged by our actions – do we actually discriminate against people of color in our daily lives or do we support those who do? Because character is defined/displayed by actions.

But, you and Liza (and many of the rest of of the Blacks speaking out on this) see an action where you disagree with the politics, and infer racism from that.

Since when is it racist to disagree with the policies of the Administration in power?

How does that work? How do you justify that “logic” to yourself?

And with “subconscious racism” you seek to indict all, and free yourself from any burden of proof. Who made you the “thought police”? Are you now mind readers?

“subconscious racism” is the last “argument” of losers. It can’t be disproven – but it can’t be proven either. It’s not an “argument” – it is an attempt to choke off argument, through intimidating the target. I AM NOT INTIMIDATED. Never again.

In fact, as of right now, I have been totally desensitized to charges of racism because the accusation has been so totally abused.

Note that Liza herself committed both ageism and sexism in leveling that “argument” – unless you also believe that only white males can be racist or sexist, which seems to be a popular strain of “thought”.

The press has been warned to not photograph her from behind. I imagine you can Google “Michelle Obama” + “booty” and come up with some photos.

I have nothing but sympathy for the position of First Lady. To be the spouse of the highest ranking member of our federal gov’t must be the worst job on the planet. You are not elected. You are not appointed. And yet everyone has expectations of your behavior and your mind. You are totally vulnerable to media criticism and yet you have no protocol for performance standards. The only First Lady I ever loathed was Nancy Reagan. My Gawd, what a disgusting woman! Other than her, I have respected all First Ladies, and Michelle is no exception. My favorite was Rosalynn Carter, who exuded ladylike composure and femininity through her pores.

I detest Barak, but I have nothing but sympathy for Michelle. She has endured so much bullshit for no reason other than (1) she’s black, (2) she’s the wife of a guy who has no clue, and (3) people like Rush Limbaugh (a professional asshole) make stupid remarks about her butt.

I love women’s butts. The bigger, the better!

Zorro this is why i say its not so far fetched that WHite Americans disrespect Obama and are not privvy to giving him any leeway if people are so quick to spew the hatred they do towards his Black wife who is innocent.

Never in HISTORY has any First Lady of any President (whether he was loved or hated) received the amount of hate and disrespect Michelle Obama has. And its b/c she is a BLACK WOMAN.

This fact alone that people would talk shit about an innocent Black First lady who is makes it very difficult for me not to believe they would not also simply talk shit about Barack as a pres b/c he is Black. The only difference between he and Michelle is they have stuff they can “trump” up on Obama (his policies) wherase they have nothing on Michelle as to why they talk shit about her.

    Neecy.

I am posting this here, because the thread is shorter. Sowwy.

On my Facebook I’m following a female pick-up coach that is currently writing a book on online game. Apparently there are some dos and donts. Anyway, I gave her an extract from a certain blog on which I hoped she would respond. She hasn’t done so as yet.

So I am giving you the entire extract and I’d like your opnion. Here goes :

    =======================================================================

THE GIRL’S GUIDE TO… Men: How To Get Laid When You Place An Advert On A Casual Sex Website.,

    1. Be grammatically correct. Placing an ad that is badly spelled or with terrible sentence construction doesn’t bode well to anyone reading it; it just makes you appear stupid. Plus, you’ll look like you’re typing with only one hand, which although might be true, really won’t assist you: horniness is no guarantee of success in the field of sex (actually, it probably lowers your ability to get lucky, if anything).

Example: “cum smole weed with me today and let me get the munch where the sun don’t shine, ill go down there for hours!”

I’m not sure where you might be going down darling, but it wouldn’t be between my legs, that’s for sure: I expect a man to be able to converse on at least a semi-intellectual level (when he comes up for air, anyway).

    2. Don’t appear desperate (even if you are). Have a wank, get rid of your excess horniness, and then post the ad. Do not, in any circumstances, be tempted to write something like this:

“i have the whole weekend scheduled off for sex but have no-one to do it with as yet”

Evidently. Looks like a weekend spent watching those new DVDs. Again.

    3. Don’t appear too picky:

“‘m 35yrs, 191cm, 80kg, handsome, cultivated, successful and am looking for female companion (younger than 35yrs, BMI less than 25) to have fun with.”

Specifying a particular ratio of a woman’s height/size is not going to get you in her pants. Fact.

    4. However, don’t appear not to be picky at all – and then contradict yourself (using bad spelling and zero punctuation):

“can`t accomadate no time wasters looks unimportant pic a must”

And if you’re going to request a picture, it makes sense to offer one in return. Otherwise women will just suspect you’re going to use their image to wank to and not take you seriously. (See below.)

    5. If you want to get laid, try offering more than just a soggy photograph:

“I’m looking for a woman to email me a sexy picture of herself, that I can print off and wank over. I’ll then take a picture of my cock over your cum soaked picture and email it back to you.”

Been looking at too much porn, methinks of a bloke that cannot relate to a woman unless she is 2D.

    6. Be thoughtful about what you are going to offer the woman:

“Maybe you would just like to sit on top and ride me – I don’t mind honest…”

Thank you – how generous of you.

    7. Don’t be arrogant:

“Sex can be devastatingly bad or just devastating. Choose the latter and drop me an email.”

You won’t pull if you come across as a wannabe-Casanova. Men who appear full of themselves generally turn out to be shit in bed. Most women know this, and those that don’t, soon learn – and spread the word.

    8. Conversely, a man who shows basic wit and intelligence, and who can be mildly self-deprecating, would probably appear more considerate of a woman’s needs in bed. Thus, more women would reply to his advert, ensuring a higher probability of him getting laid:

“Watery eyed albino seeks large gins and absolutely no sympathy from women who aren’t that bothered about the fact that, to me, you probably just look like a shapely, yet smudgy blob in the middle distance. Must be prepared to put up with my walking into doors, abusing people with 20-20 vision and never getting a sun tan.”
I’m betting this guy has had a few offers.

    9. Don’t bother putting pictures of your penis in the advert. Or, if you must, put a picture of your face alongside it. However nice your cock may be, in and of itself it isn’t going to market your worth as a potential lover. If a woman was only interested in a phallus to play with, there are plenty of vibrators out there – and she’d be guaranteed a good orgasm with one. So please, be funny, be honest, show your face in the ad, and you’re much more likely to get a response – and perhaps get lucky.

    10. However, if your objective in the advert is not to get laid, and you don’t mind women printing off pictures of your erection and using them to masturbate with, then please, feel free to post the cock pics – I need a few more for my collection.

    ==================================================================
As for myself, a friend asked me to write a profile for him on a dating site. Since I wrote it for him, his profile has been viewed 442 times, and he has been showed interest by a drop-dead-gorgeous Ukrainian, a D-Cup hottie, and two others. And then there was this woman that wrote following in HER profile :

It’s hard to know what specifically attracts me – I can’t always reduce it to one thing. It gets even more complicated when the thing which makes someone attractive is also the thing which may make that person completely wrong for me. So far, it has been a double-edged sword.

However, I always squeal, grip the seats, gossip (shock-horror) and get totally stupid over sharp wit, a sense of humor on occasion, and nice forearms and hands on a guy. (She was describing his profile pic to a T) .I also love unabashed directness about what you want. No hemming and hawing. That just gives me time to think about walking away. There’s something compelling about someone who’s comfortable with his sensuality, is magnanimous and have that “special quality of leadership that captures popular imagination…and inspires allegiance”

Neither her, nor my friend could communicate, due to the nature of their accounts. It was free, but no communication was allowed.

Anyway, this is what I wrote for him :

“Why you must get to know *******”

Neil Patrick Harris aint gay. Should you disagree with me, I suggest you go and talk to Neil Patrick Harris. There are some things girls must talk about, that guys just don’t wanna know. Still in disagreement ?! OK, I’ll get Ricky Martin to come and join you as well … so how do I differ from the other guys here ? Well, I have no problems if Neil Patrick Harris and Ricky Martin are your friends … but you chase them away from me, you hear me !!!

    His Ideal Match

I wanna win at least one argument with her every day … well, I’m gonna try … and that’s because I’m “kind and caring” … I no longer squash cockroaches with mum’s lipstick … I’m using that of my nieces. I am “in touch with my feelings” I burst into tears when I see my nieces wearing lipstick … and I know how to make a woman moan … you give all her Cosmopolitans to her girlfriends … because I need the space for roach-traps …

Now wait … and wait … and wait … take a deep breath … and another one … and another one … stop thinking of George Herbert Walker Bush … and stop thinking of his pointer shoes … and his Elvis-belt … and his beer-belly … and that 10-inch hair in his left nostril … no … that one is sticking out of hid RIGHT nostril … shhhhhhhh … shhhhhhhh … or else you’re gonna end up thinking about something of Ole George that’s very interesting … and lying a lot lower … his man-boobs my darling … were you thinking of something else ? …. Oh ?! … I believe you … but now we’re just gonna be friends …

… and don’t worry … those pink wings of Ole George were Made in China … so they’re gonna fall off pretty soon … No ?! … then tell him to fly a bit faster around that cowpat !!! Are you feeling better ? Got your bugspray ready … yes, it will also work on Arnold Schwarzenegger … don’t worry , he’s even slower than you-know-who on his way to a paternity test … coffee still warm ? … ok … take a deep breath … and another one … and write me that angry letter my darling !!!

(… and for those of you madams that think that I have still not written enough, I heartily suggest that put on a Dodger’s Jersey, and go the nearest Mental Hospital for more support … )

Well, this is the end. I think I might have overdone it though. Don’t forget to comment on that blog post Neecy. Thanks.

Well Marellus I don’t know If I can lend much of an opinion to this kind of ad b/c its mainly for casual sex. But I would agree with most points the lady wrote I guess.

I do know I vistsed Craigslist dating once and OMG it was chock full of sexual ads. And they were definitley not as tame as the lady in your article suggests. LOL

I guess I feel if you are lookign or casual sex it may just be better to cut to the chase, show a nice good pic of yourself and write a short simple how and where to meet. LOL Not sure why anyone would put much into writing a witty ad for casual sex encounters?

oooooh okay! I didn’t realize that was your post. It was very very witty for sure. Certainly would stand out from the rest b/c its interesting and not taking yourself too seriously. I htink peole enjoy those who don’t take themselves too seriously. Although I didn’t understand some of it (possibly b/c we are on different continents and may have a langiage barrier of some sorts) but it was kinda funny. LOL

Why, thank you my darling. Just so you know : That female pick-up coach actually removed my blog extract from her FB-wall-thingy. But she likes to pose in lingerie.

And all the guys go ga-ga over her. So what I did is this : I commented that there is only reason why she poses in lingerie, and it’s because of this !!!

I also friended her, and told her in a private message that if she accepts my friend request, I’d cover myself in Peanut Butter, and then swim naked through the Apies River … I’m such a stinker …

Good post. You touched upon a couple of things I forgot to.

“But it was Obama that decided not to focus on jobs while he had both houses of Congress – that it was more important to spend the time and political capital to socialize medicine.”

…and nationalize the banks / mortgage business, and apologize to anyone who’d listen for how ugly and mean America is.

The failure of CME to backstop MF Global customers or allow them to close accounts seems very bad. But it has been a month and I don’t see the futures market dying. From Reuters on Nov. 21:

While trading activity in New York and Chicago has recovered following a slump immediately after MF Global’s collapse, exchange officials and experts fear the crisis — as well as its messy, protracted aftermath — may have a chilling effect on the markets for months or years.
        ….
And there are reasons to think that a wide-scale boycott by smaller traders of the futures market will not occur. The risk of exposure to high and volatile commodity prices is greater than ever; and there are no viable substitutes for most of the CME’s key agricultural contracts.

I understand what Barnhardt is saying – every bit of it makes sense.

What is worse is her correct assessment of the enormous corruption that riddles the unholy alliance of government and big business.

Bob, the other question is whether what you’re buying in these markets ( commodities, bonds, stocks etc. ) is in fact the real thing :

… Then one day the moment in the spotlight comes and the company goes public on the market. The glitter quickly fades to gloom as the company you and so many worked so hard for falls in value %15-%35 in the first month continuing the trend over the next year. Someone must be to blame but not who you might think.

Welcome to the realization you have been the target of “naked short sales” of your stock. Small cap companies are at the greatest risk. While there are efforts in place to regulate it, there are still many investors and companies paying the price.

And from this NYT article it seems that New York is not attracting foreign capital anymore :

Last November, the Committee on Capital Markets Regulation, a collection of chief executives, economists and policy makers intent on halting the apparent decline of America’s (and hence New York’s) competitive standing in finance, presented a report full of ominous warnings: “Evidence presented here suggests that the United States is losing its leading competitive position as compared to stock markets and financial centers abroad.”

On an entirely different subject, I ordered, from Amazon, the animated movie Rio about two parrots who fall in love. They give you the digital version so you can watch it immediately. I watched it twice last night. It isn’t perfect, but it is very funny and I love romantic comedies.

    It’s well worth a look!

The funniest part was when Blu (the male macaw) tries to kiss Jewel (the female…duh) and she pulls away indignantly. He tries to cover his ass, and then a disco ball descends into the room and Lionel Ritchie starts playing. It’s riotously funny!

I agree Liza. i hate discussing politics b/c its just not interesting to me AT ALL. And yes we both are unbiased IMO b/c we do like WHite men but we can also call a spade a spade and say that subconsciously many of them may not realize their own prejudices.

This is the thing abut raical arguemnts and why I hardly ever like or participate in them. They are pointless b/c everyone sees things from their own lens and hardly can ever see it from the other person’s POV. So that is why I feel racial arguments are completey pointless b/c there is hardly ever any real honest discussion about it.

I’m don with this fight. LOL Moving on. I’ll have my new post up tonight for sure!

Yes, you have to call as it is sometimes, especially when it is called for. Yes, I do love white men but at the same time, I do not kiss up to them because men do not respect women who do.

In addition, yes, political debates can be very tiresome and pointless. For me, I am conservative about some things and liberal about other things. I just do not believe you can be entirely one or the other. Therefore, for that reason alone it is pointless.

Man, I LOVED the Charlie Brown specials when I was a kid. I was reading on wikipedia recently (yeah, I know) about how the Charlie Brown Christmas special almost never got made because of it’s religious overtones and jazz music. Check out the article if you get a chance – worth the read.

Awww I was soooooooooooooooooo mad when I missed the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving special this year! And i always cry at how they treat him. But i love the simplicity of the Charlie Brown series and cartoons and yes the jazz music is a nice added touch.

I also love that generic bootleg looking cartoon that has been around since my great grandfather – Rudolph the Red nose reindeer. LMAO! If those puppets on there don’t look mangy. Its still a classic that I try to neve rmiss though.
