OK HERE’S THE DEELY

Hi strangers!!!! 😦

Yes i have been completely MIA but i just want you to know that the last month and a half I have had some personal thinhgs going on as well as work and applying for school again that have taken up great loads of my time and focus. Then I was very sick for aboutΒ a week and a half after getting really bad food posioning which knocked me off my feet.

SO. I’m baaaack! I can finaly say that i can start reposting again regularly. I will ask your help though as i am still busy in helping me with topics of interest. Marelles has been really good with offering up ideas and suggestions for new posts and I would appreciate anyone else to do so as it helps me to not have to try to think about what to post all the time myself.

Per personal emails i have decided to kee the NEST going and not change it πŸ™‚

Happy to be back I really miss you all!!!

So I am still reaing from the food posioning I had about a week and a half ago. My tummy still isn’t quite right and I think I may ask my doc if I need anti biotics. Well I went to have my teeth cleaned today and my hygeinist said that i should drink a beer that has a lot of HOPS in it b/c the hops kills of the bacteria and keeps it from spreading.

Hmmm. So can I get a list of beers that have high amount of hops in them since I am *NOT* a beer drinker and have no clue.

Since you’re not a beer drinker, I’d reccomend Sam Adams Boston Lager. A little darker than the mass-produced beers from the hops, tastes good and goes down easy when ice cold.

I think that would be most palatable for a non-beer drinker. I could be wrong, tho.

One other thing – I would think that it would be the alcohol in beer that kills the bacteria. Never heard the hops angle before.

Well she had taken some kind of science class where they discussed the benefits of HOPS and she said that it helps to keep bacteria or a bug in the stomach from spreading and creating ulcers. I found it interesting and said i was gonna try it. But I just have to find a place that has hefenweizen or Sam Adams to see if it really helps.

          Hmm. Interesting.

One of the great things about beer, especially these days, is that you always know what the ingredients are – water, hops, barley and yeast. All natural.

I think it was Benjamin Franklin who once said “Beer is God’s way of telling us he loves us and wants us to be happy.” 😎

I’ve been homebrewing for 15 years. I can make a Bass Ale that’s better than Bass Ale.

I reccomend hitting the library and doing lots of research. 😎

Oh, you mean booze. Well, it depends on what you like. Me, I like a good bourbon. Maker’s Mark is my personal fave – made in Kentucky. Any half-way decent vodka works for me, too. And I’m a tequila guy. A couple of shots of 1800 will set your mind right real quick.

While we’re on the subject, I ran into a good buddy of mine last weekend. His family is Irish, and he’s visited Ireland – still has family there. He told me when they drink whiskey, they NEVER do shots. They sip it. Even if it’s served in a shot glass. We did a shot of Jameson and sipped them, and I gotta admit, I enjoyed it a lot more than if I’d just thrown it down my gullet.

Only 3 exams left to go. I’m scraping through by working through the courses’ assignments, and doing old exam papers.

My next one is this coming Thursday. And I tell ya, when that beyatch is finished, it’s gonna be me, a full pack of cigarettes, and a six-pack of Castle Lager.

I say, I see that there’s canned beer in America, where the containers are as long as your arm. Can you export them here please.

They’re like $8 a pack here in the states – just another reason I’m glad I don’t smoke.

Camel Lights. They cost about thirty rands over here. That’s about $3.60. I can’t believe that a pack of smokes costs $8 over there.

Maybe you should write about something other than relationship stuff. Write about an aspect of your job or career that makes you passionate, or pissed off.

Write about your ideal dream guy.

Write about a foreign country or US city you visited and what really turned you on about it…or off even.

Write about your favorite type of cuisine. Why you love a certain kind of food, or how in the hell Giada DeLaurentiis has more teeth than a frikkin crocodile.

Your favorite cartoon, movie or novel.

Write about something that just blows you away.

    Neecy.

See if you can read these two blog posts, and do something with it. What amazed me about this celebrity blogger in Singapore was this :

So many parts of the world is living in poverty. They are suffering, not knowing where their next food source is coming from, while we are sitting with our iProducts in our aircon-ed rooms, playing Draw Something, thinking we should get a stylus to draw better.

Surely we should give up all our material comfort and go help them?

Have you given thought to this? How much sacrifice must you make before you placate the guilt at the bottom of your heart, and how much before you present to the world an image that you are not an asshole?

As a person with power, influence and a public image, I’ve thought about this probably more than you have. And I’ve been burdened with an additional responsibility, because I can “spread awareness”. If you don’t do your part for IC, nobody cares because you have 20 twitter followers. But if I don’t, I’m a selfish, heartless bitch whom you wish will drop dead and die.

Unlike most people who are still struggling with their dilemma of how much to give, I’ve made my decision, and I’m sticking to it.

    Here it is: NONE.

I don’t know if this is attention-whoring, or a typical Asian mindset. If it is the latter, then this coming century is gonna be very unpleasant.

A celebrity in America saying something like this, is asking for a lot of trouble. Look at what happened to Trent Lott, or for that matter, Mel Gibson.

But this is tolerated in Asia, and this blogger is reaping the rewards. I don’t understand this … or rather … I don’t want to …

lol You so bad. She is cute in a barbie doll kinda way. Honestly, i like her style and look for what she is and has accomplished. Plus she is very gurly and loves pink – anyone hwo loves pink is automaticaly on my anti shit list πŸ˜‰

But i admire her and the fact she changed her appearance for what she wanted to look like. Take a trip to her FAQ page and look at the section where she literally posted pics from her childhood and teen years. PRETTY SCAREY what she looked like before. But i can’t hate on her for making herself look the way she wanted.

The only problem she will find is while she was able to change her looks through surgery, her kids will still most likely have the genes and features she originally had. But then again she married a White guy so maybe they wont look like she did pre surgery. πŸ˜•

You should read how they met. This woman is a walking talking shit-test. From how she describes Mike, he’s actually a complete beta, but he managed to marry her. Whether this is a textbook case of how white men score in Asia, or a shining example of love and persistence, I don’t know.

Maybe it’s a mixture of both.

But if I had to choose, I’d lift my hat to a shy guy that never gave up.

I would love to be a fly on the wall and see how she treats him. But she did say she stopped dating for 4 years before she found him b/c all the guys she dated were assholes. Maybe she really does love him. She did note to her female readers that they should seek out the quiet shy nerdy types b/c they are good men.

I don’t know Neecy. She tweeted this :

“I have a recurring nightmare where mike and I break up, then I go all “Woman power I can do w/o u!”, then I regret it and beg for him back.

In which when I try to beg he goes MIA (presumably went back to USA) and no phone lines go through wtf. Mad hate!

Whenever this happens I get angry with the real life Mike and yell “Why didn’t u fight for me when we broke up?! It’s so easy for u??!” ”

So somewhere he does have leverage … like the gentleman grunting behind a newspaper, while the wife is being dramatic in the kitchen …

              Neecy.

Cross-eyed. In many ways that’s the source of her success isn’t it ? That reckless pursuit of an image that would negate such an obvious flaw. But she knows that’s not enough, so she resorts to the outrageous in her appearance, and the totally controversial in her writings …. so that her critics, when they attack this weakspot, can be made off as idiots … a brilliant strategy.

And most of her fiercest critics are women, and by sheer personality she’s beating them. She was lucky. Not many other girls are.

It’s the tragedies in our lives that make us successful.

One of my friends is an Actuary. He has two Masters Degrees in STEM fields .And if you talk to him, you wouldn’t know it. He acts just plain common. So why the success then ?

He has monocular vision. He can’t see in three dimensions. So from an early age he had to train his brain to make up for this deficiency … especially the left brain … which handles spatial manipulation, and hence numbers, and hence equations … need I say more ?

But how many other girls survive this kind of bullying ? I’ll be honest Neecy, I once read a book of how a mother was bullying her daughter. And how did she do it ? She gave her daughter “advice” on her make-up over dinner. And after the mother gave her “advice”, the daughter was always in tears.

Had she not written this, I’d have seen this situation and thought nothing of it. I would not have understood the tears, but other women would … so Neecy, what is this well-mannered war that women fight amongst one another ?

This is only a glimpse … I’m sure of it, and if you’re honest, how many of these “tactics” is known as “Game” in the manosphere ?

Because if you’d try to describe this war, you’d inevitably confirm “Game” theory … but it’s nicer if a man is running Game on you … and not a woman … ultimately.

MARELLUS !!!!! You always provide good discussion topics and interesting things to ponder. THANK YOU B/c I have a new idea for a blog post on this very topic about races and cultures and how many see humanity outside of their tribes πŸ˜‰

Well I ventured over to her blog and read most of it. The reality is, there are simply a lot of people who feel like her and they will have to deal with their own selfish mindsets in their own due time.

I can’t say that I am not surprised though that an Asian would say this (as you asked in your post if it was a general Asian mindset). YES it is for the most part – especially non Americanized or Westernized Asians. But Asians are not the *ONLY* groups guilty of this mindset. i find middle easterners, Hispanics, Indians and many other ethnicities outside of Europeans are very selfish in this aspect when it comes to thinking of others not like them or who are suffering.

I can honestly say that really the only *GROUP* or race of people who actually care about human rights are Europeans (Whites). Most Europeans tend to have the most desires to actually do things for human rights/ humanity than any other race or culture – even if they benefit off of that very suffering in some way – they are the only groups willing to *AT LEAST* give back something. So yes, Ironically, while Europeans who have greatly benefited off of the backs of those who suffer seem to be the only race that cares about giving back. Its a strange dichotomy. But the point is Europeans are and have been the only groups/race of people that are willing to share a piece of their pie with others outside their tribe and tend to have very little issues with xenophobia like other races and cultures.

This is why I don’t understand the Black Americans who focus solely on dumb racist shit White people do or say and act as if other races or minorities are our “brothers and sisters” in the struggle “against the WHite man”. HUMPH! I used to frequent a Black discussion board where I literally told all the Blacks constantly talking about how they are sick of racist WHite people to go and live in another races country and see if they even get a pot to piss in! Other races care little to nothing about anyone outside their groups (especially those who look much differently than they do) – and especially Blacks whom they really look down on.

Yes there are some really insane Whites who say and do a lot of racist shit, but even in the grander scheme of things, Whites are the only groups of people (considered among the most powerful with many resources) that have proven to be willing to help and think about others. So I often tell Blacks who complain about White people to go live in India, Asia, Middle east and other places where the cultures and people are extremely xenophobic and unwilling to help others beneath them.

So in a nutshell, i am not surprised when i hear or see an Asian or any other ethnicity outside of White say things like that. I find many cultures/races outside of Europeans are very self centered, greedy, and xenophobic and unwilling to reach out and help others who look or who are different from them.

It is what it is. It just irks me when Black people act as if they have a friend in other groups and races of people simply because they have tanner skin or are a minority in this country. BULSHEEIT! As a Black person/woman, I find I can trust a White person to have my better interest more than a Latino, Indian, Asian or other ethnicity/race.

Now having said all of that. I gotta admit I kinda love that Bitches blog! Her writing style I really enjoy to. And I actually laughed out really loud at some of the shit she says and some of her topics are on point like the one about FAT and ADELE.
So I have to say I kinda dig her style overall (writing, and her love of make up and all things girlie). So thanks for the links b/c I will visit her site often.

She has also given me some serious motivation in other areas of my life and I admire her for changing herself into the person she wanted to be (granted it revolves around vanity) but she really stuck to a plan to re-invent her looks and she has achieved it and I have to say I really admire her for that. I looked under her FAQ section and she is completely open and honest about her surgery and such. When I first went to the site I though she looked like she had some work done, and she confirmed it by showing her before pics as a child and young adult where she was damn FUGLY! Lol. I mean she looks COMPLEEEEETLY different from her original self and features.

But she re invented her looks the way she wanted and I really have to say in general (not totally agreeing with her surgery and the shit she did to change herself) but moreso on the tip of her having a goal and accomplishing it to the fullest. Definitely she has motivated me in just one hour of reading her posts.

R.I.P. to the first woman I had a crush on as a kid – Donna Summer.

Such a great, powerful voice. Sad to see it’s been silenced.

She had beauty, talent, class and charm. Girls today could learn a LOT from her.

    We’ll miss you, babygirl.

From what I’ve read, she was living in Manhattan when 9/11 happened, and she told friends she thought she got lung cancer from breathing in toxic fumes from the WTC collapse.

        Unreal. 😦

I was working in NJ for an asbestos and hazmat cleanup outfit five years ago. My boss was The Man in charge of all hazmat removal at Ground Zero. He said that all the broadcasting of the towers having zero asbestos in them was one of the biggest lies perpetrated on the American people since the Kennedy Assassination. Tower 2 was a monument of asbestos, and within the next decade, tens of thousands of New Yorkers will get mesothelioma and other bronchial cancers. 3,000 people died on 9/11, but the true number of lives shortened will be monstrously higher.

Never. Ever. Believe. Government. The only time they tell the truth is when they can’t hide it.

            Wow. Just… wow.

Donna Summers’ death was tragic enough, but to think that that’s probably just the tip of the iceberg…. man, I don’t even have the words.

The construction contracts for both towers expressly dictated that there would be a zero tolerance for asbestos-associated construction materials: concrete, flooring, wall panels being among the most common sources of chrysotile and amosite. The truth is that Tower 2 used asbestos materials throughout production, and Tower 1 was hardly free from asbestos.

Remember that footage of the giant wall of dust and debris that roared through Manhattan? That was the asbestos monster, and even when it disappeared weeks later, the air in lower Manhattan was tested for asbestos: it was fucking loaded, but that’s not what people were told.

The fact is if an old building goes kaboom in your neighborhood, get the kids in the car fast and head out of town for a couple months.

Hmm. I guess that explains why I’m always seeing ads on the NYC TV stations regarding class action lawsuits for asbestos related mesothelioma.

That’s a pretty goddamn big lie.

The bigger the lie, the easier it is to get people to believe it. Basically, Hitler said that.

Only a fool would believ there was no asbestos in those buildings. Just look at when they were built – right when using abestos was very common and popular.

Add in a burning old buisling which used asbestos and you are right, we are going to unfortunatley see the sad results of those who lived and stayed in that part of NY during the downfall of the towers.

Its sad that the government doesn’;t seem to care about the lives and health of its citizens. We won’t even get into the Food industry and how the gov’t is aware of the chemicals used in our foods that is literally killing us and infecting us with so many diseases.

That is so sad. I took no pleasure in losing Whitney, but I’m sorry the girl was a coke junkie.

Poor Donna did nothing to deserve her demise. She was awesome.

I agree. While it may be sad Whitney died, I can’t feel sorry for a person who literally killed themselves and had plenty of chances to save themselves and thier lives, than a person who was doing the right thing and just was unfortnunate like Donna was.

That’s what I read in a few different articles. Obviously I was shocked to hear that she died, but when I heard it was from lung cancer I was doubly shocked. From everything I’ve ever heard about Donna Summer, she always considered her voice a gift from God and always made sure to take good care of it. If you go on youtube you can find some vids of her performing over the last few years and she still sounded GREAT. And she didn’t need no damn autotune either. So I had to find out just how the hell she got lung cancer, and that’s what I found.

I heard a lot of people in the media yesterday say “I didn’t even know she was sick.” Turns out no one did. She was diagnosed last summer and the only people who knew were her immediate family and some close friends. No one else had any idea til yesterday.

I ws literally queasy when I watched that. i am VERY afraid of heights. Even the thought of being that high makes me sick to my stomach.

I will never forget my dad took my cousin and I to the Michael Jackson/Jackson 5 concernt back in the 80’s. We had the nosebleds and the whole time I sat down crying b/c I was afraid of heights. I was about 8 or 9 and that is the first time I discovered i was afraid of heights.
