UGH – KELLY ROWLAND!

I’m sorry but she just bugs me! This whole thing with her admitting publicly  being jealous of Beyonce, talking publicly about how she hated her dark skin, making comments about a married man and how she adores his looks in public.

She just annoys me b/c she always has come off as desperate and never really finding confidence in herself. So she seeks sympathy and love by making all these pathetic declarations.

Black women like her need to stop making themselves look so pathetic – especially publicly. All it does it make people look at you like you aren’t worthy and it also encourages other young Black women to fall into the woe is my tripe.

While I believe kelly Rowland is a beautiful girl, i have a hard time respecting her b/c I don’t believe *SHE* believes it.

Beyonce is alright. I’ve never really got into her music b/c a lot of it comes of ghetto to me. I never got all caught up in the typical infatuation Black people  have of her b/c she is light skinned with long blonde fake hair. NEXT! But i will say Beyonce is talented as a performer and singer if she would just direct that into more quality MUSIC IMO.

But having said that, She’s not all of that to me for someone to be jealous of. She had a team of people (including her biological father and mother) who invested in her talents early on and yes its only natural they will put their biological daughter FIRST!

The point is – Kelly SHUT UP and learn to love yourself. or take a page out of Michelle Williams book and DO YOU and stop with the whining and dramatics – its not a good look and its  making you look BAD and pathetic. Kelly is doing a hell of a whole lot better than a boatload of other Black women and she needs to recognize her blessings!

The only reason Kelly Rowland is saying anything is because she’s trying to get publicity.

I know that about 10 years ago, Rowland was very popular in the UK. I used to listen to a UK radio station at work and her music was ALWAYS on the radio ,this was a top 40 type station. She was even a judge on the X Factor show in the UK. And the rumor then was that she was dating a Count or someone like that.

I think since Beyonce’s career has gone viral, Kelly Rowland feels like she has to say and do things to keep her name out there. But I do agree, it smells of desperation.

I agree. Kelly could have had a pretty decent career if she stopped always kissing up to Beyonce and playing the woe is me card all the damn time. I do not see Michelle Williams complaining and Kelly Rowland’s career has done 100 better than Michelle. Instead, Michelle went on with her life and didn’t use pathetic cries of woe is me to gain more sales.

Kelly screams low self-esteem. She is giving Beyonce way too much power and leverage. She seems very needy and in need of constant validation… such a turn off!

Exactly. It seems as if she thinks saying these things publicly will garner her more record sales out of pity? LOL I am not saying Kelly is not human and doesn’t have real feelings. But Black women like her continue to make their stock dive when they are always crying about how depraved they are. That is what Therapists are for. I cannot stand to see blessed people bitch and whine about their life – especially celebrities.

Michelle WIlliams singing career didn’t even stand a chance after DC broke up. I don’t see her publicly making these decalrations for validation and record sales.

As you said she is giving Beyonce way too much leverage. But Kelly has always been a Beyonce butt kisser. That is why I was never really fond of her at all. She just comes off as being a follower.

The sad thing is she is pretty and Talented and still whines. She needs to realize its not going to get her anymore record sales.

    Leave Kels alone! 😦

She may come off as a weakling but she is kind and has a good heart. I too found the comments about her dark skin to be cringeworthy, but hey. There can be an advantage to being frank about your insecurities: at least it’s one less example of “the strong black woman”.

Hey Alee! We have to disagree. Kelly may be kind with a good heart but she doesn’t need to constantly be playing the woe is me card publicly like she does. Its not going to help her career anymore and frankly all it does is make her look pathetic. I hate to see Black women with a ton of things going for them contstantly tear themselves down. Its not a good look.

Ever notice how, these days, it seems like it’s the attractive girls who have all these insecurities and the fat ugly chicks are so f*cking full of themselves?

To be fair, she’s probably in a situation where, growing up, she’s always been the pretty, talented one – then she ends up in a group where everything is focused around another girl, totally by design, who ends up becoming a megastar. Diana Ross & the Supremes 2.0. I’m not saying feeling jealous and maybe a little resentful is the right way to go, but at least I can understand it.

KR’s a beautiful girl, I’ve always liked her. She just needs to learn that the only reason she’s in Beyonce’s shadow is because she chooses to wallow around in it. That and a little Omertalovin’. I’ll wipe away any insecurity issues she’s got. 😎

LOL I will take a confident fat chick anyday over an attractive insecure cry baby always seeking validation. UGH. I get it. Kelly is human and she has feelings. But she and other Black women like her need to stop using the public as their therapy and seek out THERAPY in private to deal with their issues.

Kelly Rowland has always come off as a follower and Beyonce booty kisser to me so maybe I am biased b/c I have *NEVER* liked her. But I always felt her body and shape was better than beyonce’s (she is lean and tall and fit) and I thought she was always attractive with a good singing voice.

I just get irritated when Black women are always publicly crying about how they hate their dark skin blah blah blah.

Kelly needs to count her blessings. She has managed much better singing career wise than Michelle WIlliams who doesn’t use the public for validation and record sales and attention,

But the thing is, everybody does everything in public today. There’s no such thing as privacy anymore unfortunately. When someone has a movie or something coming out, they go on ET or Access Hollywood and talk about whatever tragedy happened in their lives and the thing is, people eat that stuff up.

If there wasn’t a market for people doing stuff in public, reality shows wouldn’t exist.

I like Kelly Rowland. She needs to use her stardom to either teach music or what other talent she has. You know that fame comes with a price and she make sure that whatever she does it will come back to her because Black women are not protected like other groups of women. She needs to focus on Kelly Rowland and everything else will fall in to place.

…but she’s not as talented and has the sex appeal as Beyonce, so I don’t know why she would compare herself or feel less than in the first place!. If she had accepted what she has and worked with it, then these feelings of insecurity wouldn’t have surfaced. Although she’s goodlooking, there’s something lacking about her, that drive/hunger, ability to play with the camera lens (photogenic) and sex appeal. Artists like Beyonce, Rihanna, Madonna, Britney Spears all have it, albeit out of all four Beyonce has the better voice range, although I can really dig Rihanna’s unique voice. Nonetheless, Kelly Rowland tries too hard to be noticed and instead people like myself look away……embarrassed.

PS: Beyonce needs to stay classy. Those stage clothes she wears are so vulgar. What ever happened to flirty feminine dresses?!.

I agree Foos! Kelly has a great and powerful voice, a nice shape and is pretty much she is lacking confidence. You cannot be a singer or entertainer lacking in confidence or your career won’t go very far. Its almost like you have to be a narcissist to get ahead. Beyonce is truly a narcissist but she has the confidence.

I never deemed Bey as classy she always had too much of that urban tone to her songs. She has a really good voice and is pretty but for some reason I never got that much into Beyonce.

Rihanna I actually like her music – not her – but her music is pretty catchy.

Another non-fan of Beyoncé here! She is such a hypocrite, determined to stay in the limelight no matter the cost! Oddly enough I used to be a fan years ago till I saw through her. Always going on about women’s empowerment while showing her crotch, wearing fake blonde hair & marrying a drug dealing BW misogynist- what kind of message does that send to vulnerable young girls?
To say I cannot stand her is an understatement and for Kelly to see herself as ‘less than’ crotch-exposing desperado Beyoncé makes me lose all respect for Kelly. Though I had already lost it when she publicly salivated over another woman’s husband. Classless.
